A girl tries to stop police from advancing on a crowd and is shot. Her boyfriend stays with her as she bleeds, kissing her as she slips in and out of consciousness. An ambulance arrives and takes her to the hospital, where her parents and boyfriend anxiously wait outside the operating room. The doctor emerges to announce that the operation was successful.

1. Realistic Fiction
“St...op!” as the girl runs to the front of the crowd the policemen stop and say, “Get out
of the way or else!” she replies, “I..I...I can...t let you pass!” Bang, bang! Shots fired by a
policeman. The up roared crowd suddenly in a slight second becomes silent. “No.. No… NO!” as
the girls boyfriend runs to her, like flash as she falls down dripping in blood. The captain of the
squad gives the policemen a hand gesture and they all move forward passing the running boy and
bloody girl. The group of people run as the policemen chase after them, pushing and shoving
everywhere. At the last second the boy catches her as she’s falling, lays her body down while
trying to block the holes the bullets made from dripping blood. Knowing she might not make it,
he kisses her, holding on to him; she rises more and more, trying to stay up. When they are done
kissing they look to the right of them and see the squad captain and the boy yells at him saying,”
what are you doing? Call for help! Please…” the captain gives a thumbs up meaning he already
did. A few minutes pass and the ambulance arrives, they stop in front of the bloody girl, pick her
up, put her inside and drive off to the hospital.
The boy doesn’t go with her, because it’s too much for him right now, so he sits on the
side of the curb and thinks. Whenever he makes his mind up he realized he should’ve went with
her, so he runs to his car and quickly drives off. In the car he makes a phone call to her parents
and says, “Meet me at the hospital. NOW!” the dad responds,” Why?” he replies, “Because your
daughter got shot.” You could hear weeping in the background and he knows it’s her mom and
then they hang up meaning there on their way.
The ambulance makes it to the hospital, take her out the car and rush her to the operating
room. Outside the operating room, worried boyfriend, crying mom and angered dad. Inside the

2. operating room,” Is she asleep?” nurse, “yeah.” Doctor, “Okay let’s begin.” Needle after needle
stitching her holes up and fresh new blood pumping into her veins. After time the operation is
over. The doctor walks out the operation room and says,” The operation was successful.”
Everyone’s sad, lonely, depressed face turns into the brightest sun smiling endlessly.
