Architecture is planning and making space for people to live and use directly
from residential space to commercial facilities, public institutions, medical
facilities and education facilities.
Hyundai E & C has always been the first in the housing business. As the first
apartment complex in Korea to be built, "APGUJUNG HYUNDAI APT", which is a
synonym of Gangnam luxury apartments, "Hill State", which is a representative
apartment in Korea with excellent design and quality, We are doing our best

Q. 지금 담당하고 있는 업무에대해서알려주세요.
저는 ‘힐스테이트 녹번’현장에서 아파트의 ‘시공과 품질’을 관리하는 ‘건축 공사관리’
업무를 담당하고 있습니다. 콘크리트, 골재, 마감재 등 공사용 자재가 기준에 적합한지
검토하는 일부터 시공 관련 스케줄 조율, 설계 도면에 의거하여 적절히 시공되는지
검수하는 시공관리, 도면에 나오지 않은 시공 디테일을 설계하는 등의 업무를 담당하고
있습니다.

Q. 입사 후 경험한 현대건설, 어떤 점이 가장 좋은가요?
현대건설의 ‘기업문화’를 자랑하고 싶습니다. 흔히 ‘현대=군대’라고 생각하는데 실상은
그렇지 않습니다. 입사 전 다른 건설사에서 인턴을 했었는데, 당시 윗분들이 말씀하시면
그대로 따라야하는 철저한 ‘상명하복’ 분위기가 문화적 충격이었습니다.
현대건설에 입사하면서도 군대 문화일까봐 걱정이 많았는데, 실제로 경험한 현대건설은
선임분들이 아랫사람의 의견을 합리적으로 들어주시고 소통합니다. 저는 해박한
업무지식을 가진 선임들이 후배들에게 하나라도 더 알려주시려는 모습에 깜짝 놀랐습니다.
이렇게 상하관계, 단순한 직장동료가 아닌, 선후배사이로 함께 하는 현대건설의 가족적인

Q. What is the best experience of Hyundai Engineering?
I want to boast of "corporate culture" of Hyundai E & C. I think it is often
called 'Hyundai = army' but it is not true. I had an internship at another
construction company before joining the company, but it was a cultural shock
that I had to obey when I told them.
Although I joined Hyundai Engineering & Construction, I was worried that it
would be an army culture. In actual experience, Hyundai E & C will listen to
the opinions of the senior people and communicate with them. I was surprised
to see that senior executives with solid business knowledge were trying to
tell their juniors one more thing. I would like to boast of the family
corporate culture of Hyundai E & C, which is not just a top-down
relationship, a mere co-worker,
Q. 현재 업무에서 가장 필요한역량이있다면 무엇인가요?
‘커뮤니케이션 능력’이라고 생각합니다. 건설현장에서는 사람과 사람의 관계가
무엇보다도 중요합니다. 공사담당자와 협력사분들의 파트너십에 따라 최종결과물의
디테일이 결정되기 때문입니다. 따라서 협력사분들의 협력을 얼마나 이끌어낼 수 있는지,
문제가 발생했을 때 부드럽게 잘 조율하는지는 굉장히 중요한 문제입니다. 이런 업무의
특성상 ‘소통’ 능력이 공사담당자에게 가장 중요한 능력이라고 생각합니다.
Q. What do you need most at your current job?
I think it is communication ability. At the construction site, the
relationship between people and people is most important. This is because the
details of the final product are determined according to the partnership
between the contractor and the partners. Therefore, it is very important to
know how much cooperation you can get from our partners and how to smoothly
tune them when problems arise. I think that 'communication' ability is the
most important ability for the construction worker because of the nature of
these work.

Q. 나만의 솔직한 합격 비결은무엇이었나요?
‘당당함’이라고 생각합니다. 현대건설은 ‘건축 전공자’들이 가장 가고 싶어하는 회사이고
저 역시 “현대건설은 넘사벽인데... 과연 내가 입사할 수 있을까...“라는 생각이 많이
들었습니다.
그렇지만 ‘안 될 수도 있으니 차라리 마음 편히 당당하게 임하자’는 생각으로 오히려 면접때
긴장하지 않고 질문에 당당하게 제 의견을 말할 수 있었습니다. 덕분에 떨지않고
면접관님들과 자연스럽고 편안하게 대화를 이어갈 수 있었고 이렇게 좋은 결과를 얻을 수
있었습니다.
Q. What was the secret of my honest passion?
I think it is 'imposing'. Hyundai E & C is the company that most architects
want to go to, and I also had a lot of thought that "Hyundai E & C is a big
wall ... and I can join ..."
However, I was able to speak my opinion firmly to the question without being
nervous at the interview because I thought, "I can not do it, I would rather
be in peace of mind." I was able to keep conversation with the interviewers
naturally and comfortably, and I was able to get such a good result.
Q. 면접때 기억에 남는 질문이있었나요?
“여자인데 해외현장에 부임할 수 있겠나?”라는 질문이 기억납니다. 해외 현장은 가족들과
떨어져 혼자 부임하게 되는 부담감, 다수의 남자직원들과 달리 소수인 여성으로서의
외로움을 우려하셔서 그런 질문을 하셨던 것 같습니다. 건설회사에서는 기본이
현장경험입니다. 저는 ‘언제든 현장에 갈 준비가 되어있고, 특히 해외현장을 경험하고
싶다고’ 적극적으로 말씀드렸습니다. 이런 저의 마음가짐을 면접관분들이 좋게 봐주신 것
같습니다. 합격 후 들은 말씀으로는 면접관 중 한 분이 해외 원전현장에 계셨는데, 저를 그
현장에 데려가고 싶어 하셨다고 합니다.^^
Q. Did you have any memorable questions during the interview?
I remember the question, "Can you get a job at a foreign field?" It seems to
have asked the overseas field because of the burden of being separated from
the family, the burden of being alone, and the loneliness of women as a
minority, unlike many male employees. At the construction company, the basic
experience is the field. I have been actively saying that I am ready to go to
the scene at any time, especially if I want to experience an overseas scene.
The interviewer seems to have looked good on my mind. After passing, I heard
that one of the interviewers was at the overseas nuclear power plant site and
wanted to take me to the site.
