Installation of Temple Team 10-11 Installation on 8th July  @ comfort Inn, Marina Towers. Outgoing President Rtn Srinivasan giving a very emotional & inspiring speech. Equally inspiring & promising was the acceptance speech of Incoming President, Rtn Dr. Ranjani Arumugam Chief Guest IPDG Olivannan, gave a very humorous & insightful speech . This was followed by a fellowship and dinner.

Membership Development
Membership Development & Retention Current Membership Strength – 52  Female – 24 (46%  ); Male – 28 (54%) This includes 5 New Members this year Long term target – in 4 years from now Total No of members to reach 65 Membership proportion to be made almost 50:50 between female and male
Service Projects
Operation Day Break Objective of the endowment To provide monetary assistance to meritorious but economically backward students to pursue their high education  One of the Anchor Project of the Club for the past 20 years More than 100 students have benefited since the commencement of this project Scholarships of about Rs.40,000 given  this year as a continuing support Corpus has been increased to Rs 7 lakhs from Rs 4.5 lakhs

Objective of the endowment To assist and enable primary education for the underprivileged children Assistance to schools Existing schools – Toraipakkam PU School, Gopalapuram Girls High School & Saivite Middle School Kind of support – Building, Nutritional food supplements, Text Books & Note Books, Foot Wear, Equipments & Furniture, based on needs

SkillServ..  Objective of the endowment To train and enable more and more underprivileged youth to take up some suitable vocation to take them economically forward Projects Executed Community Health Volunteers Training – in association with VHS Five Candidates were selected for Training. The selected candidates underwent Training from 27.09.2010 to 12.01.11 at VHS, Thoraipakkam. They underwent Theoretical and Practical Training. They also undertook Field Visits in nearby Areas. Following Four Candidates successfully completed the Course. Ms. Manogandhi. A from Kallakurichi. Ms. Meenakshi. C from Perunagar. Ms. Dharmeswari.N from Perunagar and Ms. Poongodi.R from Anampakkam

Teen Seminar Teen Seminar held at Ganapathy Girls HSS  Dr. Yamuna, adolescent physician, was the moderator Two teams of students and teachers were formed and argued about teenage being rosy or turbulent
Dental Camp Dental camp at Karapakkam middle school on 10-Jan-2011 137 students screened 15 Fillings done 20 scalings done
Dental Camp Dental camp at TTV (Shaivite School) in Mint, North Chennai 153 students screened Dental extraction done for 13 students 3 students referred to Govt Stanley Hospital for Root Canal treatment
Dental Camp Dental camp at GKS School on  07-Feb-2011 and 21-Feb-2011 Total of 323 students screened 35 Fillings done 67 scalings done and 3 extractions
Health Camp Full day health camp at Ganapathy Girls HSS, Gopalapuram 272 students examined General, Eyes and Dental examinations done 27% required medicines
Blood Donation Camp Blood donation camp at Anna University on 31 st  Aug 2010 Inaugurated by Dean Prof Dr. M.Sekar Blood bank team came from Institute of Child Health and Hospital for children 52 units were collected
Blood Donation Camp Another blood donation camp at Air India Unity Complex, Pallavaram on 18-Mar-2011 86 units were collected
MMR Vaccination Camps We had a MMR and Dental camp at G.K.Shetty Vivekananda Vidyalaya Rtn. Nagendra Babu, District Secretary 2010-11 was the chief guest We also had a MMR camp at TV Nagar Rotary School, Ambattur where 149 students were vaccinated
NID Polio Immunization We had two NID Polio immunization camps One on 24 Jan 2011 and Another on 27 Feb 2011
Patriotic Song Competition As with previous years, we conducted our annual patriotic song competition on 26-Jan-2011 23 schools participated Was a grand success
Vocational Service
Vocational Services Award We had our vocational services award on 28-Apr-2011 Rtn. Srinivasan, Assistant Governor, 2010-11 was the chief guest Recognized and awarded two genuine and outstanding blue-collar workers from our society
Special Projects
Computer Training Center, a  Matching Grant Project  IPDG Olivannan inaugurated ‘Saheli’ a computer training center at National Agro Foundation, Iledu Village on 7-Jan-2011 This is a matching grant project developed at a cost of Rs 5 lakhs
Build a new bathroom for Shivite Middle School, Mint Built and handed over a new bathroom for school children of Shivite Middle School, Mint on 30-June-2011 Spent Rs 1.68 lakhs on this
International Services
International Services Hosted 5 GSE team members Rtn Lakshmi Prasad, Rtn Shanta Narayanan, Rtn Satish, Rtn M.S.Srinivasan and Rtn Narendra Ghorpade hosted the GSE team members Rtn. Sridharan & Rtn. Hemachandran co-ordinated the hosting of the GSE members
