Project 1: Voice Over Ethernet
Platform: ARM

Description: Digital voice control card interface is proposed to be used for transmission of voice data ,
messages and configuration commands from MMI to terminal and vice versa . User voice is captured in
PC(personal computer) by MMI application,it is converted to PCM-16 format and sent via ethernet as a
UDP packet. The Micro-controller Receives the UDP packet from PC through ethernet interface.
Microcontroller reads this PCM-16 audio data and sends to CODEC(TLV320AIC23B) for conversion of
digital to analog audio. It shall have the facility to communicate with transmitter,receiver and vocoder
controller through serial interface for configuring parameters as well as data transfer.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Drawing the schematic, procuring the material required for assembling the control cards.
• Involving in the development of firmware.
• Testing the terminal in local loop as well as over satellite link.
Project 2: UHF Satcom system

Description: This project includes Ethernet Interface Module. The function of this module is to receive the
data through serial interface and transmit the same data over Ethernet interface in UDP protocol to external
module.
