- #5 One #1 guiding principle was to make the transition to NXT easy for you No loss of functionality No data conversion No re-implementation
- #6 Access anytime, anywhere – mobile device in a coffee shop, tablet in the back of a car, travelling to your next appointment, in the office, at home, etc. Every user has their preference for how they want to access information, and NXT will enable it. Expand # people who can leverage the information in RE AND save time for the database manager We wanted to enable Sending donor profiles with the click of a button. Sending a profile should be a link, not a report you have to run. Just like Anthony texted me a link to a constituent a few minutes ago Development Officers actually enter in their key interactions with donors vs. asking the database administrator to do it because they don’t know how to use the system well Enabling executives and development directors to access key information on their own. Instead of asking a DBA to run reports and analyze who to focus on, executives and Development Directors have the information they need at the fingertips and can access it on their own The first thing we are doing to enable this, is RE NXT will be unlimited users. Anyone that you give access to can use the system…any time…any where.
- #7 The second thing we did is we built a simple, beautiful user interface that anyone can use. You don’t have to be an RE expert to use it. We believe this will significantly cut down the time the primary RE users spend running reports and passing them around, entering data for other people.
- #8 …We wanted NXT to be more more than just a new interface…it will also provides insights and clear cut intelligence to those who need it – leveraging embedded analytics, such as wealth ratings or ask amounts AND built-in best practices to help you achieve better fundraising. I heard a quote from a customer that really resonated with me. This customer told me “There is SO much good data in our Raiser’s Edge database. However, we have to work harder in order to be smarter and use this great data.” We want you to work less to be smarter and improve your fundraising results Take the example from the role play Anthony and I did earlier – RE NXT told me there are three people who need my attention, and it suggested the action I should take with the yellow star. It also leveraged information from embedded analytics that are included with RE NXT, such as wealth Anticipate what you will want to do, such as have a senior person make a personal call to a new high value donor; mark an action for the Development Director to assign them a solicitor) We felt it was important to take a role-based approach with deep nonprofit expertise to the user interface. We wanted to focus on the jobs to be done. The person conducting high touch fundraising needs a different view into the application than the person doing data entry, which is different from the Development Director assigning solicitors and managing overall fundraising. Put information in the hands of people who use it where they need it
- #9 We felt that if we could deliver on those guiding principles, we would enable our customers to unlock even more value from their data. Widespread access to information people need Free up time for the database administrators to Sometimes it feels like what’s the point. Now we can unlock the chains of the data, get it out in real time to the people who need it. We can overwhelm those in the audience who spend their valuable time building reports, lists, profiles all with the effort to get the information to the people who need it. It causes friction, it causes a lack of cohesion. We want to inspire the organization all to see the value in the data they collect and manage, because there is amazing data that you’ve collected over the years. Now we need to unleash it. - #11 [Jay] So what are the components of Raiser’s Edge NXT? First, is the new web-based user interface. You’ll see more of it in just a few minutes The interface serves up information in meaningful ways via a role-based interface (the jobs to be done). The initial version is focused on fundraisers, executives, and development directors. And…we are very quickly going to expand the jobs and roles. Expect a new release every 1-2 months that expands the breadth of this new interface
- #12 [Jay] Being in the cloud gives us the opportunity to give you a completely new experience for using our products. If you want to use facebook, is it hard to remember what link or web site to go to? How about gmail? You want to access RE NXT? go to Blackbaud.com and sign in with your ONE login id that accesses Blackbaud.com, RE NXT, FE NXT, and (over time) other Blackbaud products While you are using RE, you want to access another product such as Financial Edge NXT or the Blackbaud Merchant Services portal, click in the upper left corner and move to the other product. No more having to remember or bookmark launch pages You want to access online training through Training Central or our online community or Knowledgebase? You are already logged in and a click away You have a question you need to ask to a knowledgeable support analyst? In the product select chat with a representative…we automatically know your organization, who you are, and what product you are in so you go right through to the right person. We are even going to build Knowledgebase results into Have you ever had to deactivate someone who left your organization from multiple products? How about if you go to one place to deactivate them?
