Rainforests provide many benefits to human lives. They are a source of food crops, having produced fruits, vegetables, nuts, drinks and other foods. Many medicines used today were discovered from plants in rainforests as they contain chemicals that can treat or cure diseases. Rainforests also yield beautiful hardwoods that are used to construct homes, offices, and furniture. In addition, tropical forests play a vital role in regulating the climate by absorbing carbon dioxide and maintaining rainfall and soil patterns.
