snack on their vulnerable trunks.

3. Obsidian: So what were you sad about before? I felt it here.
Onyx: It was nothing…
Obsidian: Liar. I’m your twin I can feel what you feel.

4. Onyx: Someone couldn’t take a joke. That’s all, then he made me leave.
Obsidian: Maybe you were being inappropriate. You tend to do that.
Onyx: I was not. It was just a joke.

5. Obsidian: Not everyone gets your sense of humour; you have to remember that
and learn to read your audience.
Onyx: What is that supposed to mean? You trying to make me feel stupid?

6. Obsidian: No, it just means you have to understand the people you’re talking to.
If they look like stuffy adults then your childish humour is not going to make
them laugh, it will just annoy them instead. And talking to a kid and saying
something about their mommy dying is not nice. How would you feel if
someone said that to you about our mommy?

7. Onyx: Pretty sad.
Obsidian: See? You do know what it would feel like. So why do you do it?
Onyx: I can’t help it, it just comes out before I can stop it.
Obsidian: I guess when you’re older you’ll figure out how to control it better.

8. Now that Ebony and Basalt are toddlers the urge to have a baby in the house again struck
Coal. He only needed one more child but he knew that once the last one grew up the urge
would be back. But five kids was the deal with Alice, and he had to respect that.

9. Celeste: So this is the last one huh?
Alice: Yeah, I’m almost going to miss it you know?
Coal: So will I…

10. Coal: This one doesn’t have to be the last one…
Alice: Yes, it does. The house is full Coal there’s no room.
Coal: Celeste will be graduating soon.

11. Alice: Well you didn’t have to say that, now Celeste thinks you want her gone.
Coal: I didn’t say I wanted her gone.
Alice: It’s nearly time by the way. Let’s just get to the hospital.

12. Alice: My last baby, and my fourth son. Little Carbon…I hope you know you’re
going to be the last baby in the family. Soon we’ll have to discuss which one of
you will be the heir.

13. With a new baby in the house the oldest twins had asked to go to the summer festival for a
while. An eating contest looked like fun, Obsidian was competing against an adult though.

14. Although it was a surprise when Obsidian managed to beat an adult. Now she had all
these hot dogs as a prize and the thought of eating more of them kind of made her sick.

15. Osvaldo: So did you know there’s this weird new family that moved in on the other side of the
island?
Obsidian: Why are they weird?
Osvaldo: I heard they do weird spells and grow strange things in their garden.

16. “I’m not a fairy. Don’t know where you heard that.”
Obsidian: I wanted to meet you for myself. Osvaldo is full of mean gossip.
“Yeah…we kind of expected that when we moved here.”

17. Obsidian: So what is your name? And do you really have spells?
“Well…I hope you’re a good person. Mommy said we have to be careful who we talk to here.”
Obsidian: You can trust me. I’m not a bad person.

18. “Come inside and I’ll tell you.”
Obsidian: Okay…I wonder what’s so secret he has to go inside to tell me.

19. “Come here. I’ll whisper it to you.”
Obsidian: Okay…
“My name is Temecula Atredius and I’m a witch.”

20. Obsidian: Really? That’s…awesome! I love witches!
Temecula: Why? Are you a groupie? Or do you want to become a witch too.
Obsidian: I’m a Supernatural Fan, and could I really become a witch like you?
