  • #4 QUMAX is a valued and effective pharmacy service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people Funded under the 6th Community Pharmacy Agreement (6CPA) Influences medicines access and adherence, management of chronic disease, and appropriate post-hospital care There are currently 79 ACCHOs registered for the QUMAX Program – in major cities, inner and outer regional areas (where s100 is unavailable) Opportunities for registration for eligible ACCHOs takes place in April/May each year Nearly 50% of NACCHO members are eligible for the program NACCHO offers our ACCHOs ongoing support each QUMAX cycle
  • #5 Report back to members 2015-16 – Approximately 50% of funding expenditure by ACCHOs is in DAA Arrangements between an ACCHO and pharmacy. Transport accounts for 21% of expenditure which is used to help clients gain access to their medications The most commonly purchased devices include Asthma masks and spacers, nebulisers and peak flow meters QUMAX also allows for additional pharmacy support and HMRs, education sessions for clients with chronic illness, and cultural awareness training
  • #6 The continued investment in QUMAX will ensure a valuable contribution to health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients Workshops run annually and we are currently taking EOIs for registration for March 2018 for participating ACCHOS – See Sophie at QUMAX Trade Table
