4. Binary Form
the structural pattern of many songs and instrumental pieces, primarily
from the 17th to the 19th century, characterized by two
complementary, related sections of more or less equal duration that
may be represented schematically as ab.
Ternary Form
sometimes called song form, is a three-part musical form
consisting of an opening section (A), a following section (B) and
then a repetition of the first section (A). It is usually schematized as
A–B–A or A-B-C.
5. Rondo Form
is a form featuring a main section (referred to as either A or refrain )
that returns throughout a work and is juxtaposed with contrasting
sections (referred to as B, C, etc., or as episodes ). Common formal
layouts include ABACA (five-part) and ABACABA (seven-part, likely sonata
rondo).

8. SONATA
A multi-movement work for solo instrument. Sonata
came from the word “sonare” which means to make a
sound. This term is applied to a variety of works for a
solo of instrument such as keyboard or violin.

10. CONCERTO
a musical composition for a solo instrument or
instruments accompanied by an orchestra,
especially one conceived on a relatively large scale.
