Insurance Worth Buying
Neosurance is an insurtech startup that helps you engage and monetize your digital customers, delivering the best insurance experience where and when it matters most.
With our help the insurer is capable of coming up with the right insurance proposition precisely when the client needs it, without even having ask for it. A highly personalized push offer on one's smartphone according to the single individual and its context. Imagine you’re a tourist landing in London and you forgot to previously buy a travel insurance: no problem, a personalized notification arrives on your device asking if you want to get insured in a few steps directly from your device. Easy, fast, comfortable
The push notifications are sent to the users in an intelligent way thanks to our AI machine learning system which bases its knowledge on contextual data. Our approach is B2B2C, based on IoT data and Artificial Intelligence in order to apply the nudges theory to the insurer’s needs - that is, micro insurance delivered via push offers that are highly personalized according to the single individual’s context. The AI component perfects the knowledge on insurable moments and on personal behavior in order to sell the right cover at the right moment in the most effective way.
The demand for insurance services is high. Building an insurance app can meet the needs of customers who prefer mobile solutions. Statistics show a significant demand for insurance apps. So, it will be a smart move for business owners to develop one. To create an insurance app, you can hire app developers from top app development companies.
OnSource enables insurance companies to get fast, fair and efficient claims and underwriting photo inspections through intuitive smartphone apps and a mobile website that take the guesswork out of insurance photography.

Internet of Things: international Banking and Insurance wearable apps
Glasses, watches, wristbands, virtual reality headset, iBeacon or even wearable suits… Which bank or insurer have already launched a wearable app and why? What are the features of these apps dedicated to customers or employees? What are customers’ needs and expectations? What are customers’ fears? What are primary customers’ uses ? What are the app features that banks and insurers have already abandoned? What are the future app features or devices that banks and insurers expect to focus on? What are the Internet of Things key figures and projected trends?
This study includes more than 150 slides and covers the major wearables app that banks and insurers have developed so far. More than 70 of them are indeed analyzed. The objectives of the bank or the insurer are presented and illustrated by CEO or Digital Marketing Director verbatim, the main current and future features of the app and first customers’ feedbacks are detailed. In addition, the study includes several relevant links to press articles and videos illustrating the bank or insurer wearable app.
Senior Strategist Tom Whitbrook, explores the future of insurance propositions, customer experience and operations as well as how #insurers can build the organisational and technological capabilities required to become the insurer of the future.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Reinventing Insurance Purchases
Reinventing insurance purchases
with Questionless Underwriting mobile app, which
includes add-on functions like vault inventory & assets
valuation. Easy to use and insure on the go, flexible
insurance protection for your assets.
QBE Singapore partnered with Kovernow, an insurtech to launch a mobile application for consumer insurance services.
The app enables consumers living in Singapore:
- to purchase insurance cover for watches, jewellery, electronics, handbags and cameras
- to see their ‘Vault’ at-a-glance, where they can list all their assets, have them valued & store the details
- to switch the insurance coverage on or off at any time to suit their needs
To facilitate questionless underwriting, the app utilises technology including Singpass integration, image validation, online
assets valuation and integrates the claims process with QBE to deliver ease of use to consumers.

Technology Deployed
Image Validation
• Information on the images are read and system validated for insurance, including matching the insured name and asset details.
• And system validated to filter out stock images
• Assets are authenticated if they belong to the consumer, with requirements on instant photo, and photos of warranty cards and
receipts which are digitally validated on the app, without underwriter’s intervention.
Singpass Integration
• App will retrieve updated and accurate customer information via Singpass
Assets Valuation
• The app uses online data sources to provide details on the assets including make & model and updated prices
Premium Accuracy
• Instant calculation based on the current item price, using insurer pricing model
• Premium adjustment based on the price development of the respective item (e.g. electronics are subjected to depreciation, and
luxury goods such as watches are valued based on current market value)
•Rapid InApp claims process
•Online Payment
By de-compartmentalizing existing insurance products, we enable Questionless Underwriting with
Technology. Instead of asking the customer to complete lengthy questionnaires, the following are deployed:

Market Opportunity & Customer Benefits
Market opportunity
A survey with 500 millennials in Singapore was carried out, prior to launching the app, to test their
attitudes toward risk and purchasing insurance services. The KoverNow mobile app aims to fill the
gap in the market for insurance that can be bought quickly and simply for individual items without the
complexity and the paperwork associated with insurance policies. By making insurance available via
a digital platform, it will resonate with the younger audience who are accustomed to accessing and
managing financial services via digital devices, thereby disproving the myth that insurance is the
exception to the rule, and too ‘complex’ to sell or manage as a simple online transaction.
Customer benefits
The KoverNow app has been designed with ease of use in mind and will be particularly
attractive to millennials. It is accessible, intuitive and delivers a level of control that is not
available with traditional insurance policies. Most importantly, they can access it through their
smartphones in seconds.
