We wanted to utilize a location befitting an international drama. With so much
conflict in the Middle East being about oil, and dictator-like government, we
chose to focus on the story of Stephen Powell, a man who was contracted by
the CIA to retrieve the daughter of a Qatari prince who had ties to terrorist
organizations thought his father and uncle. The daughter desperately did not
want to fall into her father’s lifestyle, so she told one of the undercover
American operatives that she would tell the location of the next attack on the
country, which would be at a soccer game that was to be broadcasted
worldwide the next week. Stephen has 7 days to determine who is on his side
from the CIA and save the Prince’s daughter before it is too late.
Geography
Our specific location is the
sub peninsula of Qatar in the
Persian Gulf. The country of
Bahrain is to the West, and it
is bordered on land by Saudi
Arabia. The interior of Qatar
is made up of desert plains
and salt flats.
Climate
In the Summer, the climate is hot and reaches
extreme humidity. Temperatures average 35
degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit), but it
is not uncommon to see 50 degrees Celsius
(122 degrees Fahrenheit). There are brutal
sandstorms in Qatar as well. Qatar has mild
winters that normally last from November until
the beginning of February. During the winter
temperatures tend to be between 10 degrees
Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit) and 25
degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit). Qatar
is one of the driest countries on the planet with
an average annual rainfall of 81 mm (0.1 cm).

independent state. They are
also an Islamic state whose laws

Wealth
Distribution in
the population
The current wealth distribution in the
Qatar looks good on paper and seems
to be on the rise reaching an average of
$156,986. However this figure could be
skewed due to the presence of a few
ultra-rich individuals. There is much
inequality and the results may exclude
the countries hundreds of thousands of
low income earners. The global trend is
that the rich keep getting richer and
Qatar is no different.

Qatar is a very beautiful destination. Any movie shot here would be breath taking without needing any
special effects. This would be the perfect location for our story line also. Qatar would give our movie
the authentic feel it needs to captivate our audience and show them the beauty of the middle east.
