QA/QC Checklist
Refer to this checklist before every project:
1. Customer brings in a project or drawing
2. Shop Foreman, Estimator, or Manager reviews every aspect
with the customer (materials, measurements, weld type, and
deadlines)
3. Customer signs off on the agreed to project logistics and
deadline.
4. Ticket is written up and entered into the system and the
project is assigned to a technician
5. Once a technician is assigned a project it is the technician’s
responsibility to locate the materials and equipment needed
to complete the project and to note the deadline and record
the start and finish time and deadline of the project.
6. If any materials need to be ordered or equipment is faulty
technicians report to the shop foreman IMMEDIATELY to
avoid project delays.
7. Similarly, if the technician has any doubts, questions, or
concerns, they need to address them with the person wrote
the ticket IMMEDIATELY
8. It is imperative that the technician carefully measure and
maintain accuracy and product quality, throughout the
entire project.
9. Once the project is complete, the technician will place the
completed ticket with time and materials used, in the
completion basket.
10. The person who took the project is then responsible for
double-checking the completed work for accuracy of
measurements, materials, finish, welds, and note any
damage or discrepancies.
11. Once the project is considered satisfactory for the
customer, the office staff will copy and complete the totals
for the ticket and contact the customer for pick up.
