The student learned several things from their preliminary task to the final product. They improved their use of continuity editing by ensuring consistent clothing and props. Sound quality was better by using a boom microphone rather than a small table microphone. Camera work and shots were more innovative by having more space to film. Image composition was higher quality by adjusting color, lighting, and image clarity. Continuity editing rules were followed and an eye line match was properly used in the final product.

- 1. Question 6 - Looking back at your preliminary task (the continuity editing task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?
- 2. From the preliminary task I feel that we have learnt how to shoot more accurately and find the best camera angles, for instance in our full product the match on action was a lot more effective and clear then our preliminary and 180 degree rule was followed correctly throughout. We learned this from our preliminary task.
- 3. I think that our editing has also improved as the preliminary task was slightly jumpy in places and the sound didn't seem to sync well with the actual video. This allowed us to have extra knowledge when coming to the harder and longer task of editing our entire opening sequence which we believe we have done successfully on Final Cut.
- 4. We also learnt that sound and Mise-en-scene play a huge part when shooting our opening sequence, sound we introduced effects and natural noise that worked well whilst getting rid of muffled speech and natural noise we didn't want. Mise-en- scene was important as clothing and what fits in our production as well as colours and items.
