Eriogonum cinereum (ashyleaf buckwheat) is a perennial subshrub native to coastal California from Santa Barbara to San Pedro. It has gray-green foliage and produces showy pink flowers from June to October. Ashyleaf buckwheat is drought tolerant once established and makes an excellent ground cover or habitat plant in coastal gardens.
