1.
Publication Plan
• The name of my film magazine would be “Capture”
• Positioning statement: “For The Full Picture”
• Price: £3.75
• Distribution: it will be sold in small shops and also other wider shops as I would want to
attract a wide audience
• Frequency of Publication: Once every month
• Rationale: The aim of my magazine is to attract a wide audience into purchasing my
film magazine and to also inform them about my film.
2. Regular content
Film reviews
Transcript from a scene in a film
Interviews from actors and directors
Future releases
These are examples of the regular content which most film magazines include
and I will be using these to help me to format my own film magazine.
3. Featured Content
Oscar preview
Film Preview “We Meet Again”
Front cover picture of an actor from my film.
4. Style/Layout/Colour
Colour: The colour’s I will be using are red, black and white. This is because my
film that will be featured on this magazine is a horror film therefore I would
want to link the stereotypical colour’s of this genre to my magazine.
Layout: The layout of my film magazine will follow any stereotypical Film
magazine such as “Empire” which includes the masthead and cover lines all in
which would have to be suitable for the film I am presenting towards my
audience and also include a barcode, price and dates (monthly)
Style: I will decide more of this side through my research into several
magazines and also look into different font styles which would look appropriate
for my magazine.
