     Formed in 1983 as Pittsburgh High Technology Council as the first of such in N.A.
     1998 became Pittsburgh Technology Council
     Largest and oldest technology council in the country
     Private Not-for-profit, 501(c) 6 corporation
     Currently 24 employees

 Membership Facts:
   ~ 1,400 members
        ~ 840 technology firms, 560 technology-user companies
        Employ nearly 170,000 people throughout the region
        Technology clusters – Life Sciences, Information Technology
         (Software, Multimedia, Robotics, Hardware Design and Support), Advanced
