I secured a second rank in grade 12 in
my school, that too when school was
celebrating its platinum jubilee.
A special invitation was sent to me to
be a part of the event as I was out of
town. I had to notify the institute
where I was pursuing a course
regarding leave to be a part of this
grand celebration as I did not want to
miss out the chance to receive the
certificate.
I applied for leave as it was a private
institute where prior notice was
needed, took up a professional outfit
and reached the venue.
I was lucky to receive the certificate
from the governess of the state and
could see the sense of pride my
teachers had for me. The first
moment i could really be proud of.
During my bachelors I had strong
inclination towards accounting.
I noticed that teachers were not
satisfied with the results college
had in the past years and decided
to work towards excelling in
accounting.
I worked hard on what teachers
taught and the methods
explained in the text.
At the end of the year I got a
surprise when during a college
event the results were announced
and I realised I had achieved what
I strongly desired. This has made
me more determined towards my
goals in life and have convinced
me that nothing is impossible.
I had heard from everyone that the graduation ceremony is one of the
most important events that take place in a person’s life.
The situation was that we were experiencing a gush of emotions. We all
were happy and sad at the same time. Happy that we were able to
complete college successfully and now have to start a totally new phase
of life. At the same time sad as we knew that the graduation ceremony
was probably the last time that we were all together.
All of us had to wear a proper academic dress and were awarded with
the graduation certificates and caps. Eventually we threw caps in the air
to declare freedom and notify the success awaiting us in further life.
The ceremony left a deep impression worth remembering the whole life.
This taught me that nothing in life stays forever and every incident
happens for a reason and is leading to the other.
Organisation of Donation Camp
After my graduation in India, I was given
an opportunity to organise a blood
donation camp within the college with a
bunch of other students.
I was given the task to write down the
details of the person donating blood and
managing the other students’ teams as
the graduated students were given a
chance to show their management skills.
I had been the project manager during
various group projects in the college and
also was an active participant in other
college events. So I volunteered to stand
in, and by using the management skills
learned at college, managed the camp
successfully.
Though this event involved coordination
it was a great success as I had always had
healthy relations with my junior college
mates. Now I have the ability to organise
such events in an appropriate manner.
My parents have always been a part of
community providing aid to an orphanage and
during the time when I was free after my
graduation I got a chance to be a part of these
community services as well.
The task involved teaching Mathematics and
English to small children. Regular school going
children used to find these subjects hard to
learn and I had to help them out in excelling in
these subjects.
I was good in these subjects so I volunteered to
help. I used to deal politely with the kids and
clarify any doubts they had. Also they needed
a little emotional support as they were shy in
communicating and I also used to teach them
how to communicate confidently.
Though working with children is not easy this
experience made me realise the extent of work
one has to do to properly manage a charitable
institution. Along with this it gave e internal
satisfaction of being able to help these children
in any way.
Thank You!

Proud moments
