Baylee Townsend discusses several important occupations in her life including being a sister, friend, runner, sewer, cake decorator, cook, worker, student, netball player, and dancer. These occupations provide her with a sense of belonging, encouragement, motivation, life skills, fitness, and the opportunity to develop talents. They also allow her to socialize and make friends with others who share similar interests.

2. Occupation: Sister
 Being a sister is an important occupation in my life as
they are a part of me belonging to my family. They
encourage me and also take part in my many other
occupations which adds to the motivation and
satisfaction of my occupations.

3. Occupation: Friend
 A friend is an important aspect of my life, they
provide me with a sense of belonging to a
group of people who I grew up with. They
give advise on anything and also take part in
may occupations with me.

4. Occupation: Running
 This occupation provides me with fitness and wellbeing.
Others encourage me to take part in this activity and
motivate me which results in occupational satisfaction
as I am able to see improvement in my fitness the more I
take part. By running I am considering the “do” aspect
of occupation because I am participating in this task.

5. Occupation: Sewing
 Sewing is an occupation that influences me to become more
like my grandparents who are both excellent sewers. I
someday wish to peruse their talents and I continue to practise
this in order to achieve that goal. I wish to identify myself as an
excellent sewer one day.

6. Occupation: Cake decorator
 Much like sewing, cake decorating is helping me to become as
talented as what my mother used to be. Some people identify
me as a cake decorator which gives me pride in my work and
satisfaction in what I do.

7. Occupation: Cooking
 I believe that being able to cook is an important life skill to
have. I chose to cook meals as I enjoy trying new recipes and
satisfying my friends and family with meals.

8. Occupation: Worker
 Work is something that people do to survive. I have a part time
job which I believe will help me when I eventuate to
graduating and working full time with people. It provides me
with people and problem solving skills.

9. Occupation: Student
 I am a student, studying towards getting a
bachelors degree in occupational
therapy. I will eventually become and
belong part of a team that have the
same goal of helping people.

10. Occupation: Netball
 I used to belong to many netball teams in my past. As a child
netball taught me the basics of following rules, team work and
co ordination. It also introduced me to many people and I
made many friends playing this sport.

11. Occupation: Dancer
 Taking part in dance classes helped me to gain confidence
and also helped me to join stage challenge at school. I
belonged to this group of people throughout high school. This
meant I had made friends with the same interests that I had.
