Prose is a form of written composition in paragraph form without rhyme or meter. There are two main types of prose - fiction, which includes myths, folktales, legends, parables, short stories, fables, vignettes and novels, and non-fiction, such as history, news, diaries, biographies, experiments, autobiographies, essays, atlases, treatises and memos.
