Props in films can be thought of as unthoughtful objects which
are just placed in for something more to see however, the props used in
media products i.e. films and trailers have been thought out carefully and
are used to show meaning and additional information about
characters, locations and events.
Example:
Film: ‘’Paranormal Activity’’: In the film, common house hold items are
used i.e. kitchen cupboards slapping open – This was affective as the
action which took place was unusual which made it scary and creepy as
we are not used to cupboards opening on there own
