This paper focuses more on nursing paradigms that are comprised of four key elements. These factors include persons/clients, health, environment, and nursing, where each is subjected to own theoretical connotation and has an essential role in enhancing and promoting healthcare. In this regard, the paper outlines and contrast approaches and is in line with these four approaches in efforts to attain modern health care. Various theories in this regard try to give a vivid description of the environment and critical role in healthcare. All the stakeholders are therefore supposed to collectively work together as one of attaining a competitive advantage, healthcare and create a conducive work plan that total defense potential alignment of healthcare. This theory creates a personal definition that applies to the scenario in an exemplifying the applicability in the nursing processes (Warren W. Tryon, 2019).
In my analysis and interpretation, Person metaparadigm focuses more on recipient care and the patient. This facet extends and encompasses factors such as culture, personal spiritual aspects, family friends, and the associate economic status. This fact has been proved by a research hat outlined that the current world view of nursing has existentialism and humanism transcendence, which are based on their own interpretation and perception. The nature of intensive care that is acceded to a patient in some cases is based on the personal attribute and predetermined forces that surround one self. The third part is always crucial in attaining healthcare through could and proviso of essential secondary services that help in the healing processes. This is a closely associated environment metaparadigm; it deals with both external and external factors that relate to competent and reliable patient care. Some of the factors that are defined in this phase include interacting with patients, which changes the cognitive perspective of the subject. Visitors, as well as surrounding, are vital factors that can be used to determine and offer the best services to a patient (Saul McLeod,, 2015).
Am sure that nurse and the integrated practices of theories have established s scope and level of abstraction that has developed a proper framework through the nursing situation. COURSE REFLECTION
June 11, 2020
How has this course helped you be more prepared for successful leadership?
This course has helped prepare me for successful leadership. It has enlightened me about various rights regarding the treatment of students. The learning standards in the course have been helpful. Through the learning standards, knowledge of the freedom of religion and expression was gained. As a successful educational leader understanding that the students have the freedom of religion. Also understanding that students who come from minority groups are likely to be discriminated against or denied their rights. Therefore, advocates for equity in the course of educational leadership and honors diverse views. However, being a successful educational leader understands that children have different learning needs, and this makes them strive to create a strong educational opportunity and provide adequate learning resources.
How do you see yourself using the information in this course to support your leadership goals?
The course enabled me to learn about how to handle student records. As an educational leader, I am in a better position to safeguard the records of students. Upon completion of the course, one understands how to communicate with parents about the progress of children and their rights. I learned that I should ensure that student records are accessed only for educational legitimate reasons. Researchers are likely to ask for students' records, and this means an educational leader must have a proper understanding of privacy laws. The knowledge acquired about the safety of students was important. It was useful to know that teachers are responsible for the safety of students as they must care for them when they are at school or during school-related events. Regarding school attire, it was good to know that one must create opportunities for open discussion with parents and teachers and even community members to decide on the appropriate attire for students.
The information gained in this course will be used to create safe learning environments for children in the future. Students will be protected from harassment, discrimination, and other potential dangers they could face at school. The information will also be used to create adequate policies about various issues such as school uniforms and the level of expression. It will also help to find learning resources for students, especially from the community members. While creating policies regarding various school issues such as student privacy and search, I will use the information acquired from this course. For students with disabilities, adequate learning aids will be provided and they will be treated fairly. Positive relationships will be developed with families and caregivers of the children. There will also be a high level of collaboration and supervision of instruction.
How might the information in this course change or add to your own personal definition of leadership (Especially .

Ethical Healthcare Scenarios WorksheetScenario 1 Medical codi.docxhumphrieskalyn
Ethical Healthcare Scenarios Worksheet
Scenario 1: Medical coding in a physician's practice
Imagine you work in a high-pressure cardiology physician's office and you are one of two medical coders. Your supervisor is very focused on the greatest reimbursement to satisfy revenue projections for the practice. As a result, you are asked to "up-code" billing. How can the pressure of acquiring the maximum repayment for services lead to manipulating or falsifying documentation?
1. What is “up-code” billing? Is it legal? Is it ethical?
2. What ethical principles are evident in this scenario (beneficence, justice, autonomy, non-maleficence)?
3. How can the pressure of acquiring the maximum repayment for services lead to manipulating/falsifying documentation?
Scenario 2: Administration of patient medications in the hospital setting
Imagine you are a new graduate nurse working nights on a busy medical unit. You just received a new patient who needs to be admitted to your unit and you just finished medicating a patient with a narcotic injection with a dose greater than ordered. Clearly understanding medication errors may lead to patient injury and even death, explain why a clinician may choose not to report the incident.
1. What constitutes a medication error? Is it legal? Is it ethical?
2. What ethical principles are evident in this scenario (beneficence, justice, autonomy, non-maleficence)?
3. Why might a clinician choose not to report a medication error?
Scenario 3: Not hiring a qualified individual because of discrimination
Imagine you are a new human resources director in a nonprofit organization and have been pressured not to hire Middle Eastern candidates by the organization's CEO. In the United States, discrimination against people based on their ethnicity, race, or cultural orientation is strictly forbidden under federal and state laws. Ethical discrimination may result in the breeding of ill feelings at work, as well as reduced productivity. To eliminate these ramifications, organizations need to put forth increased effort in curbing ethical discrimination in the employment sector. What are some interventions organizations can put in place to prevent discrimination?
1. What is discrimination? Is it illegal? Is it ethical?
2. What principles are evident in this scenario (beneficence, justice, autonomy, non-maleficence)?
3. Name three interventions organization can put in place to prevent discrimination.

Application Taking a StandEffective leaders have a high degre.docxalfredai53p
Application: Taking a Stand
Effective leaders have a high degree of self-awareness and know how to leverage their strengths in the workplace. Assessments are a valuable tool that professionals can use to learn more about themselves and consider how their temperament and preferences influence their interactions with others.
As you engage in this learning process, it is important to remember that everyone—regardless of temperament type or related preferences—experiences some challenges with regard to leadership. The key to success is being able to recognize and leverage your own strengths while honoring differences among your colleagues.
At some point in your leadership career, you will encounter an ethical or moral dilemma that requires you to take a stand and defend your position.
For this Assignment, you evaluate an issue and consider how you could act as a moral agent or advocate, facilitating the resolution of the issue for a positive outcome.
To prepare:
Consider the examples of leadership demonstrated in this week’s media presentation and the other Learning Resources.
To further your self-knowledge, you are required to complete the Kiersey Temperament as indicated in this week’s Learning Resources. Consider your leadership style, including your strengths for leading others and include your results from Kiersey Temperament Sorter to describe potential challenges related to your leadership style.
Mentally survey your work environment, or one with which you are familiar, and identify a timely issue/dilemma that requires you to perform the leadership role of moral agent or advocate to improve a situation (e.g., speaking or acting on behalf of a vulnerable patient, the need for appropriate staffing, a colleague being treated unfairly).
What ethical, moral, or legal skills, dispositions, and/or strategies would help you resolve this dilemma? Define the differences between
ethical, moral, and legal leadership.
Finally, consider the values and principles that guide the nursing profession; the organization’s mission, vision, and values; the leadership and management competencies addressed in this course; and your own values and reasons for entering the profession. What motivation do you see for taking a stand on an important issue even when it is difficult to do so?
To complete:
Write a 4 to 5 page paper (page count does not include title and reference page) that addresses the following:
1) Introduce the conceptual frameworks of the ethical constructs of ethics, moral, or legal standards and the purpose of the paper.
1) Consider an ethical, moral, or legal dilemma that you have encountered in your work environment and describe it.
2) Analyze the moral, ethical, and legal implications utilized in this situation. Describe your role as a moral agent or advocate for this specific issue.
3) Consider your leadership styles identified by your self-assessment and determine if they act as a barrier or facilitation during this dilemma.

3 Original code of ethics for your family by thinking about your family as an organization Purpose
2 It is not an easy task to raise children under the current generation within the community and as a family due to the significant ethical and moral dilemmas that affect the decision-making process. 4 Also, one should be mindful of advancement that has occurred in the base knowledge of children care that have happened over a period. As such, the guiding principle that affects the formulation of codes of ethics to the family leader or member is imperative to fully utilizing the knowledge and capabilities towards achieving competent childcare practices.
The Family ethical child Code offers the specific rules and guidelines to guide and direct the behavior and principles of a child as they grow. 4 It also aims to address, as much as possible, the psychological, spiritual, social, cultural, and biological needs of young siblings and their families.
Core Values
It is imperative to note that children learn from what they see in their families, the community, and groups they interact with. 5 Featherstone et al., (2014) indicates that the code depicts how children, through a diversity of experiences, learn and bring precious knowledge in the learning process. The Socio-cultural theories have developed to have a clear focus on children as they extend beyond the development of the fundamental importance’s of social context and leering within the children. 6 The Early childhood care in families and within different societies have to integrate practical approaches whereby listening and dialogues can be responsive to assist in building proper relationships and connection that can help to advance and sustain the collective wellbeing of individuals.
As such, the core values that are imminent in this case revolve around the creation and maintenance of a healthy setting for child growth. The approach is also helpful in fostering proper emotional, a social, physical and cognitive development that helps to ensure children grow with appropriate dignity and are contributive to the society. In light of the above information, therefore, it is only possible to administer the code of ethics through having good working families that help to provide a smooth and safe transition for the kids as they move from different programs.

Chapter 3 The APA Ethics Code and Ethical Decision MakingThe APA.docxwalterl4
Chapter 3 The APA Ethics Code and Ethical Decision Making
The APA’s Ethics Code provides a set of aspirational principles and behavioral rules written broadly to apply to psychologists’ varied roles and the diverse contexts in which the science and practice of psychology are conducted. The five aspirational principles described in Chapter 2 represent the core values of the discipline of psychology that guide members in recognizing in broad terms the moral rightness or wrongness of an act. As an articulation of the universal moral values intrinsic to the discipline, the aspirational principles are intended to inspire right actions but do not specify what those actions might be. The ethical standards that will be discussed in later chapters of this book are concerned with specific behaviors that reflect the application of these moral principles to the work of psychologists in specific settings and with specific populations. In their everyday activities, psychologists will find many instances in which familiarity with and adherence to specific Ethical Standards provide adequate foundation for ethical actions. There will also be many instances in which (a) the means by which to comply with a standard are not readily apparent, (b) two seemingly competing standards appear equally appropriate, (c) application of a single standard or set of standards appears consistent with one aspirational principle but inconsistent with another, or (d) a judgment is required to determine whether exemption criteria for a particular standard are met.
The Ethics Code is not a formula for solving these ethical challenges. Psychologists are not moral technocrats simply working their way through a decision tree of ethical rules. Rather, the Ethics Code provides psychologists with a set of aspirations and broad general rules of conduct that psychologists must interpret and apply as a function of the unique scientific and professional roles and relationships in which they are embedded. Successful application of the principles and standards of the Ethics Code involves a conception of psychologists as active moral agents committed to the good and just practice and science of psychology. Ethical decision making thus involves a commitment to applying the Ethics Code and other legal and professional standards to construct rather than simply discover solutions to ethical quandaries (APA, 2012f).
This chapter discusses the ethical attitudes and decision-making strategies that can help psychologists prepare for, identify, and resolve ethical challenges as they continuously emerge and evolve in the dynamic discipline of psychology. An opportunity to apply these strategies is provided in the cases at the end of each chapter and the 10 case studies presented in Appendix A.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Section 1Integrity is an important concept in any environment. This is particularly true for
the nursing education environment where integrity is necessary to ensure competency. For
nursing students, academic and professional integrity are important concepts. Academic
integrity refers to the expectation to uphold the fundamental values of responsibility,
fairness, respect, honesty and trust that guide students in their academic endeavors and
activities. Violating any of these fundamental values implies a violation of the academic
integrity expectation. Some of the activities that violate these values include dishonesty,
2. plagiarism, copying, cheating, fabricating/falsifying data and information, abuse of
confidentiality, inappropriate conduct, and research misconduct (Hurd, 2019). Professional
integrity refers to behaving in a manner that is consistent with the professional and ethical
expectations of the work and practice environment. It articulates the expectation that an
individual will act in a manner that is consistent with the profession’s code of conduct and
code of ethics while suspending personal bias and demonstrating the capacity for honesty,
clear thought and respect (Steneck et al., 2015). Promoting Integrity and Professional
EthicsIt is clear that both academic integrity and professional integrity introduce the
unconditional need for academic and professional activities to be conducted in an ethical
manner. A common link between the two (academic integrity and professional integrity) is
the concern about plagiarism. By definition, plagiarism is concerned with identifying
unacknowledged use of sources of information, whether intentional or unintentional.
Guarding against plagiarism requires that all sources of information and ideas be correctly
acknowledged using the right format (Bretag, 2017). Guarding against plagiarism requires a
good mastery of language with paraphrasing capabilities. In addition, it requires access to
software such as Grammarly, and SafeAssign. These software conduct plagiarism checks,
looking for identical phrases and word combinations. Grammarly goes a step further in
identifying common grammar, syntax, tenses, sentence structure, spelling and word
combination mistakes and suggesting appropriate corrections.Nursing education and
professional practice involve managing interpersonal relationships and complex system.
Whether in school or during practice, nurses are entrusted with the responsibility of
providing medical care in an environment that includes patients and other medical
personnel. Performing in such an environment requires that nurses be respectful.
Developing respect and cognizance for others begins in nursing school and continues in the
practice environment. Professional integrity and academic integrity is an important
component of respect, and is part of the skills developed in school and at work since it
addresses issues of conduct and the capacity for responsible practice (Andre & Heartfield,
2012).Part 3, Section 2Maintaining integrity of work is an imperative for all nurses in the
school and work environment, and it involves upholding the fundamental values of
responsibility, fairness, respect, honesty and trust. Although it is important for nurses to
uphold these fundamental values, a complex web of situational, behavioral and contextual
issues act as motivations that determine the extent to which they uphold these values.
Understanding these issues (the complex web of situational, behavioral and contextual
issues) is important for developing and pursuing strategies for maintaining academic
integrity and professional integrity (Andre & Heartfield, 2012).There are five strategies that
nurses can applying to maintain academic integrity and professional integrity. Firstly,
developing competence in ethical and moral reasoning. This requires an understanding of
the different ethical theories and familiarizing with their arguments s as to easily apply
them in decision-making. Secondly, considering the perspectives of others when facing
situations affecting them. Promoting Integrity and Professional Ethics This involves not
making unilateral decisions in issues affecting others as no single person has all the answers
and it is important to consult so as to collect diverse and competing perspectives that would
then be used as resources (Bretag, 2017). Thirdly, acting in a manner that contributes to the
3. community. Integrity is all about bettering the community, and having the mind to
contribute towards the community helps in maintaining integrity. Fourthly, cultivating
integrity by acting with a sense of honor. This includes being honest and acknowledging all
sources of information and ideas. Finally, consciously pursuing strong ethics and striving for
excellence. Deliberately pursuing strong ethics turns integrity into a habit so that
opportunities for violating integrity expectations are eliminated (Hurd,
2019).ReferencesAndre, K. & Heartfield, M. (2012). Professional Portfolios: Evidence of
