This document summarizes a proposed redesign of the coach interior of a JetBlue Airbus A320-200 aircraft. It discusses issues with the current design including narrow walkways, fixed seating that does not accommodate the range of human sizes, and overhead controls that are difficult to reach. The redesign aims to address ergonomic and safety problems for both passengers and flight attendants. It analyzes tasks performed by flight attendants and issues like workload, stress, fatigue and meeting various passenger needs. User research is presented on passengers and crew with a range of ages, sizes and job roles to understand requirements. The goal is to improve usability, comfort and work conditions through an updated interior design.
