Project Neon is a $900 million infrastructure project in Las Vegas involving reconstruction of a 3.7 mile stretch of I-15 that handles 300,000 vehicles per day. Kiewit Infrastructure West, the contractor for Project Neon, needed modular office space for its workforce. WillScot provided 36,000 square feet of modular offices through delivery and installation of multiple buildings within tight deadlines. This included a 10-plex for NDOT by mid-January, a 15-plex for the design firm by late January, and a 20-plex plus 5-plex for Kiewit by early March. WillScot's existing relationship with Kiewit and ability to customize and deliver buildings on an aggressive schedule helped it secure the

Optimize Process Management to Improve Business Outcomes - Webinar, September...Aconex
In this webinar, Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Lovell with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers discussed the Corps’ global mission and business lines, and how process and system improvements optimize efficiency and project funding and are critical to our nation’s infrastructure maintenance. Norman Anderson from CG/LA also discussed the current infrastructure landscape, including the challenges of increasingly large projects and the complex partnerships, such as JVs and PPPs, used to support them. The webinar concluded with a short demonstration of Aconex highlighting prebuilt processes like RFI, submittal and design review management.
Take a deep dive into the details behind this year's award winners. Discover how BIM and emerging technologies transformed these incredible projects, from Beijing’s tallest skyscraper to Dubai’s “Museum of the Future” to Manhattan’s underground megaproject and more.
Case Study: Modernizing the PMO with CA PPM 15CA Technologies
A fundamental shift is occurring in the project management offices of the world’s largest, most successful organizations. At Sky, the U.K. telecommunications giant, the PMO has found ways to modernize its practices in order to keep up with changing demands—especially from millennials. From agile development and mobile time management to data warehousing and collaborative resource management, representatives from Sky will discuss cultural challenges, technical hiccups and roadmaps for the future.

The Story
What other city in the US could have a public works program dubbed Project Neon than
Las Vegas? It is the largest and most expensive ($900 Million) undertaking of its kind in
Nevada and involves major new infrastructure construction and reconstruction involving
I-15 between Sahara Avenue and the Spaghetti Bowl, MLK Boulevard to the west, and
Industrial Road to the east. According to the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT),
the 3.7 mile stretch of I-15 covered by Project Neon is the busiest stretch of roadway in
NV handling 300,000 vehicles a day with 25,000 lane changes per hour, resulting in three
crashes per day. And the vehicle count is expected to double by 2035!
Kiewit Infrastructure West is the project’s contractor/designer and they needed temporary
office space to accommodate a substantial workforce through the project’s completion in
2019. Kiewit figured on a 10-plex for NDOT by mid-January 2016, a 15-plex for the design
firm by late January, and a 20-plex plus a 5-plex for themselves by early March. Kiewit is a
Williams Scotsman Strategic Account. Their history with us, fleet availability, customer service,
and our account executive’s experience with the Nevada Manufactured Housing Division
all contributed to our securing the modular order over our competitor.
We had one month to completely customize, deliver and install the first 10-plex for NDOT
by early January. Our Albuquerque branch worked tirelessly through the holidays, weekends
– whatever overtime was required – to get seven floors ready. Simultaneously, three floors
were shipped to the Las Vegas branch and they made modifications there. It all came
together and the 10-plex delivered on schedule.

agreed. Once more, the Albuquerque
and Las Vegas teams went into action to
make all modifications and actually deliver
ahead of schedule!
After all of the units were on site, finish-
ing trim work was completed as well
as any additional adjustments the cus-
tomer requested.
A project of this scale calls for team work
on many levels dedicated to one goal for
ultimate success. That’s why we put such
a premium on collaboration in our com-
pany and we outshine the competition.
A similar approach was used for the 15-plex
needed for the design firm by mid-January.
An existing 13-plex was put to work as
well as a doublewide classroom that was
perfect for a conference space. The Albu-
querque and Las Vegas teams again worked
miles apart yet in tandem to honor the
customer’s due date.
Last stage: the 25 total units that would
house the Kiewit team due by early March.
We refurbished a 5-plex that was originally
part of a custom project for the Wynn
Hotel & Casino to Kiewit’s specifications.
Next on the agenda was the 20-plex.
To avoid adding the required fire sprin-
klers to a 20-plex, we suggested using
two 10-plexes (no sprinklers necessary)
connected by a deck and Kiewit readily
