This letter serves to confirm that Ahmed Ali EI-Sayed was engaged in our GRIP project for
Yanpet, in Yanbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the earliest start of the preparations in
January 2014, till the end of the shutdown in December 2014, in his capacity as heavy lift
and transport engineer.
In this capacity he was engaged and responsible for the engineering, calculations and
coordination of all heavy lift and transport plans from initiation of the project till approval by
client and owner. On top of that, coordination during implementation of these plans was also
one of his responsibilities.
He showed initiative, enthusiasm and worked as a conscious and persistent person, setting
an example on how this function should work. He has thereby eamed the respect of his
colleagues and client and left the project after successfully completing his job.
The GRIP project in Yanbu, KSA, is the Glycol Reliability Improvement Project, executed by
CB&I for Yanpet as client and owner. The project consisted out of replacement of a number
of major equipment items, columns, exchangers, pumps and the like during a major
shutdown of the ethylene glycol unit 220 in November and December 2014.
