Project LOCO is a social app aimed at matching users for language exchange and cultural interaction. It allows users to connect with others seeking to learn their native language, as well as ask locals questions about various cultures in a forum-like Q&A section. The app's key features include matching users based on their desired language exchange and providing a place for cross-cultural discovery and making new friends beyond traditional language learning apps.

The best way of learning language is
by making ‘friends’ who speak that
language.

boyfriends or girlfriends, so you
know, that’s why it works, hehee …

‘language exchange’ on Google Play
for instance, you’ll see quite a few.

HelloTalk, it has 100-500k installs,
rating is 4.1. The matching algorithm
is nearly the same as what we
intended to do, but …

25. Most of these apps focus on
learning language, but LOCO focuses
on matching and chatting, it’s not a
tool, it’s a fun app to make friends!

don’t care about your intention.

29. Apart from ‘Matching by language’,
LOCO has another key feature, we
tentatively call it ‘Q&A’.

questions towards a particular
culture, let users who are familiar
with that culture to provide you the
best answer.
