This document announces an event being held at Harvard on breaking natural resource dependence in Ecuador. The event will include 5 panels on: 1) the economic perspective of the natural resource curse and its implications for developing countries, 2) Ecuador in the Latin American context, 3) development, foreign direct investment, and investment protection treaties, 4) education as a transformational engine, and 5) biodiversity.
