2. Il contesto geografico: il Valdarno La vallata del Valdarno è divisa fra le Province di Arezzo e di Firenze . Terra di antica industrializzazione, il Valdarno ha un'economia attiva e differenziata, presente nei settori alimentare, tessile, dell’abbigliamento, delle calzature, estrattivo, chimico, di trasformazione dei metalli ed elettromeccanico . Ne è il cuore il triangolo Montevarchi S. Giovanni Valdarno, Terranuova, denso di attività, di traffici e di servizi.

4. Malgrado i seri presupposti di inserimento lavorativo al termine degli studi, aumenta di anno in anno l’abbandono scolastico . Una ricerca condotta da ‘Irre Toscana’ mostra che 22 studenti toscani su 100 non portano a termine gli studi. Nel Valdarno aretino i numeri di abbandono sono ancora più alti .

Il Progetto PRINCIPE CORSO DI ADDETTO ALLA SEGRETERIA Il percorso è articolato in moduli indipendenti , tali in primo luogo da permettere l’acquisizione di certificazioni e crediti per il rientro , anche a metà percorso, nel sistema scolastico. In secondo luogo da garantire l’acquisizione di specifiche competenze per l’inserimento nel mondo del lavoro. La metodologia generale è quella dell’” imparare facendo”.
8. Il Progetto PRINCIPE Il Progetto prevede 1200 ore di Corso così suddivise: 600 ore d’aula 600 ore di stage Di cui: 300 ore d’aula e 300 di stage svolte quest’anno
9. Gli allievi Si tratta di 8 ragazzi tra i 14 e i 18 anni , che hanno abbandonato la scuola tra il 2004 e il 2005. In particolare: 3 ragazze 5 ragazzi

I Docenti Per decisione del Comitato di Progetto si è scelto di impiegare liberi professionisti che lavorano già nel settore commerciale al fine di fornire agli allievi non soltanto gli strumenti necessari per acquisire nuove competenze, ma anche tutta la loro esperienza di chi “questo mestiere” lo fa già.

14. Le attività extrascolastiche I momenti di lezione sono spesso stati alternati a momenti di proiezione di video , documentari e film . Inoltre sono state previste delle escursioni a fiere e congressi a tema. Ognuno degli allievi ha partecipato a colloqui individuali di orientamento in ingresso e in uscita.
