Professional Development Plan After studying our Technology Plan, Campus Improvement Plan, AEIS, STaR Chart Data, and PDAS information it is obvious we need comprehensive meaningful Professional Development to both fuse the knowledge of our newly hired younger staff with the wisdom and stability of our older staff to meet the every expanding technology needs of our student body.  The following Professional Development steps will ensure of our compliance with both the Long Range Plan for Technology and NCLB requirements. Professional Development Activities: (Please note I have listed the LRPT, NCLB correlates as well as the person responsible to document the action) -A Technology integration assessment for all staff to include teachers and paraprofessionals will be developed/and or purchased and administered to all staff annually. Person Responsible: Technology Coordinator, Principal LRPT Correlates: EP01, EP02, EP05, EP09, LAS01, LAS06, LAS10, LAS12 -Distance Learning/Online Professional Development will provide more courses to all staff and provide opportunities only available at larger districts. Person Responsible: Technology Coordinator, Principal LRPT Correlates: EP09, I01, I04, I05, LAS15, TL05, TL06, TL08 -A survey will be conducted of the staff to evaluate the needs of all at-risk students, their families, and the community and develop a plan to address those needs. Person Responsible: Technology Coordinator, Principal, Superintendent LRPT Correlates: I02, I09, LAS05, TL04, TL05, TL06, TL09 -All technology staff will maintain awareness and seek training in current and emerging technology. Person Responsible: Technology Coordinator NCLB Correlates: 04a, 04b -Staff development will be provided each school year to all staff on the educator's legal and ethical responsibilities and how to enforce and implement the district's Authorized User Policy. Person Responsible: Technology Coordinator, Principal NCLB Correlate: 12 -Grant opportunities will be researched for funding assistance on all projects and professional development and the district will apply for all grants it qualifies for which will meet the district's overall technology plan. Person Responsible: Technology Coordinator LRPT Correlates: I02, LAS05, LAS06 -A technology needs assessment addressing hardware, software, and staff development will be conducted annually. Person Responsible: Superintendent, Principal, Technology Coordinator LRPT Correlates: I02, I06, LAS07 -Distance Learning Lab will be available for educational purposes for all staff. Person Responsible: Technology Coordinator, Principal LRPT Correlates: LAS07, TL15 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This Professional Development will be monitored and evaluated through the STaR Chart results from our campus in regards to meeting the goals set forth in the Long Rang Plan for Technology with the following evaluation methods not necessarily outlined in the above actions: 1.  Surveys of the staff conducted twice yearly in regards to their use of technology in the classroom. 2.  Informal interviews conducted once a semester by the campus Technology Plan Committee. 3.  Records of staff member participation in technology training monitored by sign-in sheets and teacher professional development records. 4.  Integration of training into the classroom as measured by lesson plans and number and type of technology and distance learning projects.
