“Barakah is the attachment of Divine goodness to a thing, so if
it occurs in something little, it increases it. And if it occurs in
something much it benefits. And the greatest fruits of Barakah
in all things is to use that barakah in the obedience of Allah
(Subahanahu Wa Ta’ala)”

91. Reduces Distraction on the Heart
“The soul is a temptress and loves to look at beautiful forms
and the eye is the guide of the heart. The heart
commissions its guide to go and look to see what is there
and when the eye informs it of a beautiful image it shudders
out of love and desire for it. Frequently such inter-relations
tire and wear down both the heart and the eye.
Therefore when the sight is prevented from looking and
investigating the heart finds relief from having to go through
the arduous task of (vainly) seeking and desiring.”
Ibn Al-Qayyim
92. Gives Your Penetrating Insight

shall never be wrong.”

Description of ProducitveMuslims in the Quran:
“Muhammad is the apostle of Allah. and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking Grace from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude in the Taurat; and their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at them. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great Reward”(Surah Al-Fath, Chapter #48, Verse #29)
The first question we ask is why Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) described the companions differently in the different Books. The scholars who delved into this verse say that because the Jewish people didn’t adhere to the Law that was set for them and did not follow it properly (they had the knowledge but didn’t follow it), Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) wanted to show them the example of a future nation who would abide by the Law and worship Allah, hence the beautiful description of the Companions and their Salah.
On the other hand, the Christians were extremely religiously committed; doing things they weren’t even asked to do, such as becoming monks and nuns, and shunning the life of this world. Thus, Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) wanted to give them the example of a future nation that would be religious whilst also productive and active. Similar to a plant which stands on its own, the sahaba did not rely on others to give them sustenance, and brought delight and wonders to those around them.
=====
Abu Juhaifah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) made a bond of brotherhood between Salman and Abud-Darda'. Salman paid a visit to Abud-Darda' and found Umm Darda' (his wife) dressed in shabby clothes and asked her why she was in that state. She replied: "Your brother Abud-Darda' is not interested in (the luxuries of) this world. In the meantime Abud-Darda' came in and prepared a meal for Salman. Salman requested Abud-Darda' to eat (with him) but Abud-Darda' said: "I am fasting.'' Salman said: "I am not going to eat unless you eat.'' So, Abud-Darda' ate (with Salman). When it was night and (a part of the night passed), Abud-Darda' got up (to offer the night prayer) but Salman asked him to sleep and Abud-Darda' slept. After some time Abud-Darda' again got up but Salman asked him to sleep. When it was the last hours of the night, Salman asked him to get up and both of them offered (Tahajjud) prayer. Then Salman told Abud-Darda': "You owe a duty to your Rubb, you owe a duty to your body; you owe a duty to your family; so you should give to every one his due.” Abud-Darda' came to the Prophet (PBUH) and reported the whole story. Prophet (PBUH) said, "Salman is right".

The 3 spheres of productivity feed into each other.
Spiritual Strength = Doesn’t matter how “strong”/”Weak” you are - mention, Abdullah Ibn Masoud thin.
Physical Vitality = Mention hadeeth of “the strong believer is better than weak believer”
Social Responsibility = ‘From among the lofty qualities of the Islamic Shari’ah is that it has legislated many actions of worship to be done in congregation. The Muslims gather that they may keep in contact with each other, come to know each other, seek advice from one another, seek help in removing any difficulties that they may be in, and discuss various issues with each other. This contains great benefit and many desirable points which can not be enumerated such as teaching the ignorant, helping the needy, softening the hearts, and manifesting the greatness of Islam. The Heavenly Revelation endorses this understanding for when it prohibits and commands it does not direct this prohibition to any specific individual but to the congregation as a whole.’ [The Spiritual Cure : An Explanation of Surat al Fatiha (Tabari, Baghawi, others) ]

Lowering your Gaze: Allah, the Exalted said,"Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their private parts; that will make for greater purity for them. The soul is a temptress and loves to look at beautiful forms and the eye is the guide of the heart. The heart commissions its guide to go and look to see what is there and when the eye informs it of a beautiful image it shudders out of love and desire for it.
Clears Perception
just as the servant restrained the light of his eye from falling upon the unlawful, Allah blesses the light of his sight and heart thereby making him perceive what he would not have seen and understood had he not lowered his gaze. This is a matter that the person can physically sense in himself for the heart is like a mirror and the base desires are like rust upon it. When the mirror is polished and cleaned of the rust then it will reflect the realities (haqaaiq) as they actually are. However if it remains rusty then it will not reflect properly and therefore its knowledge and speech will arise from conjecture and doubt.
Gives you strength
This is why the one who follows his base desires shall find in himself the ignominy of the soul, its being weak, feeble and contemptible. Indeed Allah places nobility for the one who obeys Him and disgrace for the one who disobeys Him,
"So do not lose heart nor fall into despair; for you must gain mastery if you are true in faith." [Ali Imran (3): 139]
