22/10/12 I have produced a compile list of my top 10 favourite 2D game characters.
Including images, a short description and biography – what they do, personality,
powers, skills, etc. and why I like each character.
29/10/12 I have created a schedule and started a production log. This is where I break down
the tasks within the project from start to finish and put in some milestones.
5/11/12 I have produced a range of ideas for my character. I am trying to generate as wide
a range of ideas as possible. This involves sketching, ideas maps, found imagery
mood boards.
21/11/12 Having decided upon my strongest character idea, I now need to produce a
profile. I provided a name for my character provided a short description and
biography – personality, powers, skills, etc. This information has been put into the
context of the game my character appears in – genre and objective. From this
profile I will produce an asset list, a list of what needs to be created and a plan for
my presentation – a flow or navigation diagram.
5/12/12 I have begun to create my character on illustrator.
7/12/12 I have begun to design a logo for my character and have finished it.
8/12/12 I have finished the animation of my character on flash.
13/12/12 I have finished the evaluation of my character on power point.
