RESEARCH

• Process of Marketing research.
What is marketing research?
• Its us an organized effort to gather information about target market
and customers , know about them , starting with who they are ? It is
very important component of business strategy.
1. IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM:
• The first step for any marketing research
activity is to cleary identify and define the
problem you are trying to solve.we start
by stating the marketing or business
problems we need to adress and for
which we need additional information to
figure out a solution, than share problem
with other team members to get their
input and further refine our
understanding of the problem and what
is needed to solve it .
2. DEVELOP A RESEARCH PLAN:
• Once we have a problem definition,research
objectives, the next step is to develop a
research plan .Essential to this plan is
identifying precisely what information we
need to answer our questions and achieve
our objectives. Do we need to understand
customer opinions about something? Do we
need sales ,spending ,revenue data etc. Once
we have clarified what kind of information
we need and the timing for our project we
can develop the research design.
3. CONDUCT THE RESEARCH:
• It can be fun and exciting part of
market research program. After
struggling with the gaps in our
knowledge of marketing dynamics
which led us to embark on
marketing research project in the
first palce now things are about to
change . Conducting research
begins to generate information
that helps answer our urgent
marketing questions.
4. ANALYZE AND REPORT FINDINGS:
• Analyzing the data obtained in a market survey
involves transforming the primary and
secondary data into useful information and
insights that answer tae research questions.
This information is condensed into a format
to be used by managers usually a presentation
or data report. It helps us to know ,what
customers actually want ? Whats happening
with purchasing behavior? Whatever the
research questions , the analysis takes source
data and applies analytics techniques to
provide a clearer picture of what is going on.
5. TAKE ACTION :
• Once the report is complete the
presentation is delivered and the
recommendation are made , the
marketing research is over , right or
wrong .
• What comes next is most important step
of all taking action based on our research
results.

  • 3. What is marketing research? • Its us an organized effort to gather information about target market and customers , know about them , starting with who they are ? It is very important component of business strategy.

IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM: • The first step for any marketing research activity is to cleary identify and define the problem you are trying to solve.we start by stating the marketing or business problems we need to adress and for which we need additional information to figure out a solution, than share problem with other team members to get their input and further refine our understanding of the problem and what is needed to solve it .

DEVELOP A RESEARCH PLAN: • Once we have a problem definition,research objectives, the next step is to develop a research plan .Essential to this plan is identifying precisely what information we need to answer our questions and achieve our objectives. Do we need to understand customer opinions about something? Do we need sales ,spending ,revenue data etc. Once we have clarified what kind of information we need and the timing for our project we can develop the research design.
  • 7. 3. CONDUCT THE RESEARCH: • It can be fun and exciting part of market research program. After struggling with the gaps in our knowledge of marketing dynamics which led us to embark on marketing research project in the first palce now things are about to change . Conducting research begins to generate information that helps answer our urgent marketing questions.

ANALYZE AND REPORT FINDINGS: • Analyzing the data obtained in a market survey involves transforming the primary and secondary data into useful information and insights that answer tae research questions. This information is condensed into a format to be used by managers usually a presentation or data report. It helps us to know ,what customers actually want ? Whats happening with purchasing behavior? Whatever the research questions , the analysis takes source data and applies analytics techniques to provide a clearer picture of what is going on.
  • 9. 5. TAKE ACTION : • Once the report is complete the presentation is delivered and the recommendation are made , the marketing research is over , right or wrong . • What comes next is most important step of all taking action based on our research results.
