February 17, 2011 Measuring And Marking Out a Doorstop

Today, we started to made our doorstop in the workshop. The doorstop
I decided to make was a shape of a hamburger. First we need to used the try
square and the metal rule to measure the pine wood. We can made 4
doorstops for each of the pine wood. When we finished the measuring, we
measured it in 166mm and 16mm. Then we going to cut it!!!! We used the
bench hook to hold it. We needed to cut it half we down, so we were used a
things that called saws to cut it in half way. Mr. Anderson taught us those
ways that are easy for us to cut it out. When we finish cutting we need to cut
it to the shape of a doorstop, so we need to use a material called Cross Out
Saws. I didn’t started to cut it in another way, so i will do it in my next class.
I think one of the AOI was related to our class today is Human
Ingenuity, because Human Ingenuity is the only AOI that were make things,
and also Health because we were wear apron and we also wear safety
goggles.
I think its really interesting to make our own doorstop and designed it,
and this is my first experiment to design a thing and also made it. I think I will
do better in the next class.

HERE ARE THE PICTURES I TAKE
                                       DURING THE CLASS:
