2. OBJECTIVE
The main objectives of the study are -
1. To study the investor prefered for a various investment option at Unicon.
2. To find out the satisfaction level every union corporation company customer.
3. My Project would help you to understand various problems at various levels
which are faced by Unicon Investment Solutions in U.P. while managing
Depository Participants in the U.P. circle office.
4. In this Project some suggestions are also introduced to solve these problems.

3. BACKGROUND
UNICON Investment Solutions of India Limited is promoted by the financial
institutions and insurance majors like IDBI, UTI, ICICI, LIC, GIC, the four public
sector general insurance companies, IFCI and IIBI.
UIS was incorporated as a public limited company on 2004 and provides
custodial services to institutional investors and depository services to retail
investors.
UIS works in a highly computerized environment and employs the state of the
art technology to facilitate its business and to minimize risk.
UIS has been awarded a citation by the Smithsonian Institution, Washington
D.C. for the ‘visionary use of IT’ and by the Computer Society of India for the ‘Best
IT usage.’
It has launched various products like ADD SHARES ,through this UIS provides
you loan against demat shares ,then EQUI BUY which ensure smooth and sure cr.
into you’re a/c , FUND INVEST ,through which UIS offers you a basket of financial
products like fixed income securities etc. , GOI BONDS ,INSURANCE and STOCK
DIRECT .

4. SAMPLE DESIGN
The statistical research can be taken in two forms. In the first, the scientist studies each and
every item of the field of the survey called domain and derives conclusions by computing
the sum of all units. This type of survey is called Census Survey. This is a survey of
population. In the second, the scientists studies only unit in the field of survey and the
survey of this type is known as sample survey. In the sample technique of survey, some
units are taken as representatives of the whole field or domain and the conclusions of these
sample units are extended to the whole field.
The sampling process as follows: -
1. Define the Population: -
It is the aggregate of all elements, usually defined prior to the selection of the
sample.
Mainly elements, sampling units, extent, time are taken.
2. Identify the sampling frame:-
A complete list of the population unit is the sampling frame, the sampling frame
should be so selected which consist of almost all the sampling units.

5. 3. Specify the sampling unit: -
It is a basic unit containing the elements of the target population.
4. Specify the sampling method: -
The sampling method indicates how the sample units are selected.
5. Determine the sample size: -
The decision about the no of elements to be chosen i.e. no of observations in each
sample of the target population.
6. Specify the sampling plan: -
All expected pertinent issues in a sample survey must be answered by the sampling
plan.
7. Select the sample: -
A good deal of field work and office is introduced in the actual selection of the sample.
Therefore the sample design is very useful in the research report. It is a convenient
way through which you can know about the extent of the population.

6. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:-
Research in common parlance refers to a search for knowledge. One can also define
research as a scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a specific topic.
It refers to a systematic method consisting of enunciating the problem, formulating a
hypothesis , collecting for data, analyzing the facts and reaching certain conclusions either
in the form of solutions towards the concerned problem or in certain generalizations for
some theoretical formulation.

There are mainly to type of research:
(a) Exploratory Research
(b) Explanatory Research
(a) Exploratory Research: -
When study is undertaken with objective either to explore an area where little is known or
to investigate the possibilities of undertaking a particular research study when a study is
carried out to determine its feasibility.
(b)Explanatory Research: -
It helps to investigate any problem related with suitable hypothesis.
