7. TYPES OF PHC
There are 2 types of PHC’s.They
are:-
TypeA PHC: PHC with delivery load
of less than 20 deliveries in a
month,
Type B PHC: PHC with delivery load
of 20 or more deliveries in a month

22. LABOUR ROOM
a.Clear floor area shall be provided in the room
with a space for newborn.
b. The Labour room shall be provided with a
good source of light, preferably shadow-less.

It should be centrally located in an easily
accessible area.
t should be well planned with the entire
necessary infrastructure.
It should be well lit and ventilated with as
much use of natural light and ventilation as
possible.
