Połaniec
In Połaniec there is an
enormous power station with
three chimneys, through which
the closest town is being
pulluted. Moreover, the object
emits huge ammounts of dust
and smoke. It really harms the
environment, animals and us-

3. Pocieszka
In the Pocieszka village there
is a great garbage dump. As
we know it pollutes the
environment and the
surroundings. Not only the
landfill is located next to the
cemetery, it is also located in
the centre of the forest! As
every child knows, garbage
destroys the soil.

4. GrzybówIn the area of Staszow there is also located the
sulfur extraction plant "SIARKOPOL" SA
Grzybów. The extraction of sulfur is known to be
very harmful to the ecology and the human's life.
Hundreds of people a year are killed in the mines
around the world because of the sulfur extractin. Is
this process more important than the human's life?
The sulfur is often processed into the sulfur acid
which is highly flammable.

5. Grass burning in Staszow is prohibited. If someone notices
that the grass is being burned off, the police is going to give
the accused person a high fine. Police constantly warns
against inflaming the fields or meadows, because you can
get a fine of up 5,000 zl. When we burn meadows, we
should be aware of the fact that we kill the small and
innocent animals and insects like snails, mice and many
other organisms. It also causes the biggest threat to the
environment. It pollutes the air which is essential for our life
and the life of the plants.

biggest enemy of
ecology are cars. They
give off a lot of fumes
and smoke causing
enormous damage to
the ecology. They
destroy the ozone
layer, through which
we are protected from
the sun rays.
