Asia over 2,500 years ago.

• Adopted by kings and caliphs as the most
noble of sports.

• The Polo served to keep in shape both
the men and horses, and was even
a way to see the warrior caste to
when facing "the enemy."

• In Europe first came to England, where they
adopted for years the game of Polo
as the most appropriate exercises for
cavalry officers. They made this game a school
of gentlemen, establishing a regulation for it and
prividing to it an order and discipline.

• In 1873 the first Polo Club wa created in
England, called Hurlingham.

• In those years, tere was a Spanish family developing
their business in England and
which had also been part of the
exquisite Victorian society of the time. It was the
Murrieta Family, who had a magnificent property in the
county of Kent.

• The first polo field in Spain was founded by King
Alfonso XIII in 1876.

•In 1972 the Royal Spanish Federation
Polo was created.

• About the Olympics and Polo
we can say that it was scored as an Olympic discipline
in 1900.
