Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

TUZLA, 12. augusta (FENA) - U Global Ispat Koksnoj Industriji Lukavac (GIKIL) danas će biti
organizovano svečano otvaranje Art Gallery GIKIL-a.
Umjetničku galeriju GIKIL-a otvorit će domaći umjetnici Branislav Lukić Luka izloţbom fotografija i
Goran Hrvić izloţbom slika.
Goran Hrvić slika od rane mladosti, a djela su mu izlagana od 1974 godine. Član je Udruţenja likovnih
umjetnika Tuzlanskog kantona od njegovog osnivanja. Goranove slikarske tehnike su ulje na platnu i
ulje na staklu. Njegova djela su predstavljena kroz veliki broj zajedničkih te desetak samostalnih
likovnih izloţbi.
Učesnik je brojnih likovnih kolonija. Svoja djela izlagao je u svim većim gradskim kulturnim centrima
BiH i ex Jugoslavije.
Za svoj rad je pohvaljivan i nagraĎivan tako da je izmeĎu ostalog 2003. godine dobio prvu nagradu na
konkursu za zastavu, grb, plaketu i amblem grada Lukavca.

Lukavac. Za lijep, smiren i ispunjen ţivot u kojem individua uţiva i radosno priţeljkuje svaki novi dan,
te doprinosi produktivno i svojoj porodici i široj društvenoj zajednici, uz psihofizičko blagostanje i
materijalnu sigurnost potreban je i tanani osjećaj za ljepotu. Po svim vidljivim pokazateljima koje
moţemo primjetiti u našoj neposrednoj okolini ali i posredstvom printanih i elektronskih medija,
zaljubljenici ljepote su u alarmantnoj manjini i na margini današnje civilizacije. Kako drugačije
objasniti nečisti okoliš, nečiste rijeke, nečista jezera, more i oceane, te gradove pretvorene u deponije?
Kako objasniti zagaĎeni zrak, kontaminirano tlo i zagaĎenu vodu koji su esencijalni za naš opstanak?
Jednostavno. Pohlepom, umnim sljepilom i nesvjesnošću pred činjenicom da je ljudska rasa ma koliko
bila moćna u pogledu tehnologija kojima raspolaţe, ipak savršeno nemoćna pred silama planete i
kosmosa.
I dok se naši ţivoti pod budnim okom big brothera pretvaraju u isprazni vodvilj sačinjen od praćenja
glupavih sapunica, binga, realitija, skandalozno-ulizičkih teatara političkih pigmejaca i njihovih
plaćenih sluga, te dnevničkih reklama za foteljaški grabeţ i pljačkanje sirotinje, u našem susjedstvu
ţive ljudi koji su zaljubljenici u ljepotu i koji nas pozivaju da odvratimo svoje poglede i svoj sluh od
nečistoće svakodnevnog bitisanja, preplavljenog impotentnim demagogijama mediokriteta, parazita i
njihovih pudlica. Ovi umjetnici nas podsjećaju svojim slikama i fotografijama da je sve prolazno ali i da
je sve krug: godišnja doba, kraljevski gradovi, postanak i nestanak, raĎanje i smrt, kiša i plod, magla i
duga... Oni nam šalju poziv da stupimo u njihov svijet mirnoće i otvorenih vidika prema našem iskonu:
čistoj vodi, čistoj zemlji, kamenu, drvetu, vlati trave i ţenskom krilu.
Umjetnici, autori današnje izloţbe, su zaljubljenici u ljepotu, njeni promotori, njegovatelji i čuvari. Oni
pohranjuju njenu bit svojim kistovima i fotoaparatima u sehare naših umova i ostavljaju u amanet
našoj djeci. Ovo je njihov krik protiv gluposti, pohlepe, ispodprosječnosti i nasilnosti jedne impotentne
civilizacije, koja je najuspješnija u stvaranju mutanata mediokritetske poslušnosti i bešćutnosti, a
najmanje uspješna u očuvanju ljepota koje je dobila na poklon.

Lukavac. Prijateljice i prijatelji kulture, nepisano je, a i pisano pravilo da se o čestitim i vrijednim
ljudima ne govori vještački, patetično i gomilama otrcanih fraza. Naši dragi prijatelji Goran i Luka su
djeca Lukavca stasali uz Koksarine dimnjake. U djetinjstvu su osjetili sa jedne strane veličinu a sa
druge gorčinu prisustva, tu pored dţinovskih tornjeva, dimnjaka, i drugih efekata teške industrije u
Lukavcu. Luka i Goran nisu nikada sami, gdje god se pojave oni šire druţeljublje i istinsku ljubav, što
se najbolje vidi u djelima ove dvojice umjetnika.
Goran Hrvić slika od rane mladosti, a djela su mu izlagana od 1974 godine. Član je ULUTK-a od
njegovog osnivanja. Goranove slikarske tehnike su ulje na platnu i ulje na staklu. Njegova djela su
predstavljena kroz veliki broj zajedničkih te desetak samostalnih likovnih izloţbi. Učesnik je brojnih
likovnih kolonija. Svoja djela izlagao je u svim većim gradskim kulturnim centrima BiH i ex
Jugoslavije. U tim krugovima bio je i ostao poznat i priznat. Za svoj rad je pohvaljivan i nagraĎivan
tako da je izmeĎu ostalog 2003. godine dobio prvu nagradu na konkursu za zastavu, grb, plaketu i
amblem grada Lukavca. U djelima Gorana Hrvića ništa nije slučajno. Goran ima svoj izbor, svoje
znakove i simbole, njegova djela odišu likovnom poetikom. Njegove slike su posebne, imaju svoju
originalnost. Goranov svijet je likovni svijet slika. Njegovo stvaralaštvo je konzistentno. Teme kojima
se bavi uglavnom su vezane za Bosnu i Hercegovinu. To su prije svega čovjek, priroda i urbani
10. ambijent, lijepo i ljepota, stari mostovi - ćuprije, pečenje pekmeza, pečenje rakije, bosansko selo i
njegovi pitomi mještani, Lukavac i njegova pitoreskna okolina... To su djela koja su stvarana snagom
duše, nema tu imaginacije, improvizacije jer je sve matematički isprepleteno u filigranski umjetnički
vez. Svaka Goranova slika tjera ljubitelje slikarstva da se nadnesu i unesu u nutrinu umjetnikovog
prisustva njegovih djela. Kroz ove slike mnogi od nas nalaze identifikaciju sopstvenih korijena i
rudimentiranih ostataka postojanja naših predaka. Goranove slike su pokretni muzej likovnog
stvaralaštva tj. muzej ţivota ljudi na ovim prostorima od bogomilstva, osmanskog doba,
austrougarskih uticaja, juţnoslovenske euforije pa sve do modernog tranzicijskog vremena. Na
slikama Gorana Hrvića prisutna je odreĎena doza nostalgije, koju ovaj slikar vrhunskim metodama
uobličava u kompozicijsku strukturu humanističke tišine. Goran Hrvić je, odista humanista. On
pripada generaciji umjetnika roĎenih u pedesetim godinama prošlog stoljeća. Uvijek je imao oko za
sliku, svoju i slike drugih stvaralaca. Tako je osamdeset i neke godine prošlog vijeka na likovnom
konkursu učenika osnovnih škola opštine Lukavac primjetio darovitost za slikarstvo kod tada
jedanaestogodišnjeg dječaka Branislava Luke Lukića. Elem, Goran Hrvić pokrenuo je "kotač sudbine" i
vizionarski predvidio buduću uspješnu umjetničku karijeru tog dječaka. Mada pripadaju različitim
generacijama, druţili su se i saraĎivali kroz mnoge umjetničke projekte pa evo i danas zajedno 'ţubore
o zaboravljenoj ljepoti'. Odrastali su i ţivjeli uz Koksaru, Goran je zaposlen u Koksari tj, GIKIL-u a
Luka tu neposredno uz fabričku ogradu, i danas ima svoj umjetnički atelje.
Luka je slikar, fotograf, pjesnik, grafičar, muzičar i ljubitelj prirode. Luka je istinski kompletna
umjetnička ličnost. Mlad, avangardan i buntovan. Autor je mnogih multimedijalni projekata, objavio je
do sada četiri knjige poezije. Kao slikar i fotograf izlagao je u zemlji i inostranstvu. Slikarstvo je učio
kod istaknutih-priznatih majstora ovog zanata Mirsada Džombića iVladimira Vojnovića. Član je
na daleko poznatog tuzlanskog rock benda ALARM, kao i mnogih drugih udruţenja umjetnika i
fotografa. Luka voli ljude, prirodu uopšte, na njegovim fotografijama koje su danas izloţene
pogledima i kritici, kako na ovoj izloţbi tako i u časopisima, knjigama, kalendarima, prospektima,
internet portalima i ostalim printanim i elektronskim medijima sa kojima Luka saraĎuje, vidimo
fotografije i slike pune ţivota, snage, ljepote, emocije, one jednostavno govore, traţe da vam se
dopadnu, nagone vas na razmišljanje, bude osjećanja... Fotografije Branislava Lukića su me zbiljski
obradovale i prijatno iznenadile. To je nova vrsta umjetničke duhovnosti u Lukinom radu i djelovanju.
Nema tu egzibicionizma i senzacionalizma. On jednostavno od zaborava otkida egzotične predjele naše
domovine Bosne i Hercegovine. Fotografska kritika digitalne foto umjetnosti pomalo je neiskrena
naspram fotografija koje su stvorene ovom modernom tehnikom. Luka pravi fotografije u trenucima
inspiracije, pa svaka od njih ima dušu kao da im udahnjuje svo svoje slikarsko umjeće. Slika i
fotografija, ima tu dosta zajedničkog, pogotovu kad je Luka u pitanju i njegov prepoznatljivi umjetnički
pečat. Branislav Lukić Luka je vrstan poznavalac forme, osoba velike energije, potencijala i neiscrpnih
ideja , pored toga pokazuje izuzetnu kreativnu nadahnutost za istraţivanjem u likovnom stvaralaštvu.
Njegov umjetnički svijet kosmosa nije samo likovni prostor Bosne i Hercegovine već daleko šire dopire
do svih prostora gdje ljudi ţive i stvaraju. Njegove fotografije i slike prdstavljene su diljem svijeta.
Učestvovao je na brojnim kulturnim manifestacijama gdje su njegove slike i fotografije po nepisanom
pravilu dobivale nepodijeljene pozitivne kritike.Luka je čovjek, umjetnik, velikih zahtjeva, gotovo da
teţi savršenosti u svakom poslu kojim se bavi. Sa ovakvim pristupom do izraţaja dolazi njegova
tačnost, preciznost, principijelnost, vjernost i samoodricanje do gotovo nemogućih ljudskih linija.
Umjetnost koju nam danas predstavljaju Goran i Luka ne pripada umjetnosti iz skupine „masovna
kultura". To je umjetnost, koja ima značajnu dozu depolitizacije, neutralnosti i filantropizma. Nije
namijenjena za potrebe potrošačkog društva nastalog usljed primitivnog slijeda grupa i pojedinaca,
koji oponašanjem „zakletih" umjetničkih likova, sudjeluju u projektu globalizacije svega i svačega.
Njihove slike i fotografije vraćaju nas u sretnija vremena, daju nam snagu i nadahnuće da još uvijek
postoje i ţive ljudi koji slobodno misle na umjetničkim poljima. Nije to umjetnost diktata,
11. kompromisa, poltronizma, to je umjetnost za jučer, za nas, za budućnost. To je umjetnost koju ne
moţemo strpati niti u jedan vremenski okvir, to je bezvremenska umjetnost. Ova djela namjenjena su
svim ljudima koji vole sliku i fotografiju, namjenjena su čovjeku pojedincu koji će zasigurno gledajući
ih doţivjeti neobuzdanu snagu majstora umjetnosti kakvu vidimo i osjećamo u djelima Gorana
Hrvića i Branislava Luke Lukića. Čast mi je i zadovoljstvo što sam danas sa vama dragi umjetnici,
na čemu vam se iskreno zahvaljujem. Hvala svima onima koji su podrţali projekat otvaranja galerije u
fabričkom krugu GIKIL-a a prije svega gospodinu generalnom direktoru Jagannadham Guntupalliu i
njegovim najbliţim saradnicima. Ovo jeste novi početak ali istovremeno i nastavak čuvanja i
njegovanja kulture pod okriljem lukavačkih koksara i pod pokroviteljstvom rukovodstva GIKIL-a.
Dragi prijatelji krenimo sigurno u ljepšu budućnost kulture u Lukavcu, Bosne i Hercegovine i diljem

BRANISLAV LUKIĆ LUKA - BIOGRAFIJA
Branislav Lukić Luka roĎen je 1970. godine u Tuzli.
Slobodni multimedijalni umjetnik. Slikarski zanat učio kod sarajevskih slikaraMirsada
Džombića i Vladimira Vojnovića, a to druţenje i rad sa njima čini veliku prekretnicu u njegovom
slikarskom i stvaralačkom (umjetničkom) ţivotu. Kao slikar do sada je imao 23 samostalne, a preko 50
kolektivnih izloţbi u zemlji i inostranstvu.
Autor je multimedijalnih projekata:
• Homesicness - (Čeţnja za domom) - januar 1994-1997. godine, ciklus multimedijalnih projekata
• Vrijeme lovaca - maj 1998. godine
• Odbaci diktiranu predstavu svijeta - oktobar 1998. godine

internet portala i sedmičnog štampanog medija Lukavac Danas, osnivač Dizajn studija LuDe art
studio-galerije i Štamparije "INDA" u Lukavcu... Trenutno ţivi i radi na prostorima Balkana.

Goran Hrvić je roĎen 1955. godine u Lukavcu gdje je ţivio do 2004. godine, kada se preselio u Tuzlu.
Elektrotehnički fakultet je završio u Tuzli.

Slika od rane mladosti, a izlaţe od 1974. godine. Član je udruţenja likovnih umjetnika Tuzlanskog
kantona od njegovog osnivanja.

U Global Ispat Koksnoj Industriji Lukavac
(GIKIL) danas će biti organizovano svečano otvaranje Art Gallery
GIKIL-a.
Umjetničku galeriju GIKIL-a otvorit će domaći umjetnici Branislav Lukić
Luka izložbom fotografija i Goran Hrvić izložbom slika.
Goran Hrvić slika od rane mladosti, a djela su mu izlagana od 1974
godine. Član je Udruženja likovnih umjetnika Tuzlanskog kantona od
njegovog osnivanja. Goranove slikarske tehnike su ulje na platnu i ulje
na staklu. Njegova djela su predstavljena kroz veliki broj zajedničkih te
desetak samostalnih likovnih izložbi.
Učesnik je brojnih likovnih kolonija. Svoja djela izlagao je u svim većim
gradskim kulturnim centrima BiH i ex Jugoslavije.
Za svoj rad je pohvaljivan i nagraĎivan tako da je izmeĎu ostalog
2003. godine dobio prvu nagradu na konkursu za zastavu, grb, plaketu
i amblem grada Lukavca.
