Preševo is a town and municipality located in southern Serbia near the border with Kosovo. It has a population of around 35,000 people, with Albanians forming the ethnic majority at nearly 90% according to the last census. As the largest town in the Preševo Valley region, Preševo serves as an important cultural center for Albanians in Serbia. The municipality has a hilly terrain and is overwhelmingly inhabited by ethnic Albanians, with the exception of a few villages that have Serbian majorities.
