Mission—help build, strengthen, and enhance community life in Ottawa by raising, managing and
distributing funds to charitable organizations.
ABOUT
In 1998, a charitable component was added to the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival, raising funds for
local charities on an annual basis. Next, the Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation was established in
2003 to help focus and grow the level of community support. To-date, $3.7 million has been raised,
benefiting 40 Ottawa area charities.
