Linda Wieczorek has had a varied career, including granting wishes for terminally ill children through her work with a wish foundation over 11 years. She also started her own shoe company, Gel-O-Sea, designing and marketing a "Beach Chic" flip flop with a cooling foot bed. More recently, she has worked as a home decor buyer for a furniture store chain, selecting and arranging accessories and decor to showcase furniture collections. Throughout her different roles and experiences, she has enjoyed the challenge of new endeavors and making connections within communities.

2. Laughter is truly
the best medicine
Over a period of eleven
years, I was extremely
fortunate to have been the
source of a smile, a
giggle, and the keeper of
Aladdin's lamp for
countless Wish Kids and
their families. If they
wished it, I delivered it!

3. A strong sense
of community
Working side by side with
different members of the
community never ceased
to amaze me. Total
strangers pulled together
in order to raise the funds
necessary to sprinkle our
fairy dust.

4. Home Alone 2:
Lost in New
York
If I had to choose the most
moving Wish I ever granted,
I would have to say this is
the one! On December
23RD, the busiest day of the
year, New York City stopped
what it was doing in order to
recreate this movie for our
very own Kevin McCallister!

5. Everyone learned their
lines…

6. And delivered an award-
winning performance!

7. Not a single detail was left
out.

8. And nothing fell short of
simply amazing.

9. Every wish I granted and every
child I met will forever have a place
in my heart.

10. A Passion For
Fashion
In 2006 the right and left
sides of my brain collided.
By designing a “Beach
Chic” style flip flop with a
cooling, absorbent foot
bed…

12. I quickly learned how to translate my
ideas into a marketable product.

would take me to China for the first of
many trips.

The challenge of getting
to meet with companies
such as the Home
Shopping Network and
Victoria’s Secret, as well
as other catalogs and
independent stores, was
positively exhilarating!

21. Shop ‘til I drop
As the home décor
buyer for a chain of 16
furniture stores…

22. I purchase artwork, accessories,
lighting, floral arrangements and
trees.

23. Every item is carefully selected

24. to enhance the furniture and
create a desired effect.

25. To successfully create a vignette, the furniture
is strategically placed on a wall color that will
enhance the finish of each collection.

26. Appropriate space planning is
essential.

27. Layer in color with artwork,
comforters, flowers and trees.

28. Top off the vignette with jaw dropping
finishing touches and voila! A total
retail temptation!!!
