 In this project , FABRICATION OF DEVELOPMENT OF
COOLING SYSTEM FOR AGRO DIESEL ENGINE”
 ” supplies the cooled air and at the same time this unit can
be used to Cool the water coming out from the engine or
any other system. A fan is mounted outside cooler unit.
 The water is sprayed inside the cabin from the top and
collected at the bottom. The same water is collected at the
bottom and recirculated through a pump.
 A fan is mounted outside the cooler unit in order to
supply the cooled air and also by using this unit as a
cooling system, the temperature of water is reduced to some
extent.
 This is a self – assessment test on the part of the students to assess
his competency in creativity.
 During the course of study, the student is put on a sound
theoretical foundation of various mechanical engineering subjects
and of course, to a satisfactory extent. Opportunities are made
available to him to work on different kinds of machines, so that he
is exposed to various kinds of manufacturing process.
 As a students learn more and more his hold on production
technology becomes stronger. He attains a stage of perfection,
when he himself is able to design and fabricate a device.
 This is the project work. That is the testimony for the strenuous
training, which the student had in the institute. This assures that
he is no more a student, he is an engineer.
 This report discuses the necessity of the project and various
aspects of planning , design, selection of materials, fabrication,
erection, estimation and testing.
Various temperature controlling systems available in market are
Discrete type ( semi-automatic) :-
In this type a comparator schematic of an op-amp is used for comparing and controls
action. Lowest 1 star rated system. Low in efficiency, No extra protections such as
leakage, over-current, Overheat, power loses, provided.
Discrete type ( automatic) :-
 In this type a regulating pulse width modulator IC is used for taking controlling
action. Moderately 3 star rated systems.Moderate in efficiency. Some extra
protections such as over-current, overheat, are provided.
Microcontroller based ( fully automatic ) :-
 This is most significant type, contains a microcontroller based fully Automatic
digital controlling system. Highly 5 star rated systems.Highly efficient, all extra
protections such as leakage, over- Current, overheat, power loses are provided.

 The cooling capacity can be
controlled in amount of forced air

 It prevents seizing of engine

 The maintenance of fans, pump and
controller increases the operating
cost
 The test carried out on cooling tower indicates that the
apparatus has given correct values comparable to
apparatus manufactured by professionals
 This apparatus can be easily manufactured and
marketed. Cost of this apparatus is reasonable.
 The experience gained in this project will give self –
confidence to design simple machines and apparatus
on similar lines under entrepreneurs scheme of the
Government.
