Base salary The monthly gross amount an employee
receives for carrying out standard duties. This
pay does not include variable performance-
based rewards such as bonuses, commissions,
profit sharing, variable allowance, and overtime
payments.
Fixed bonus A regularly guaranteed payment to all or
certain categories of employees. May take the
form of a 13-th monthly salary (one base salary)
Variable bonus The payment made to an individual or a group
of individuals, which is based on individual or
organizational performance
Annual bonus A payment or reward given to an employee, a
team, a division, or an entire company based on
the work of the year. As a rule paid at the
beginning of the year following the reporting.
Annual income Includes annual base salary, bonus and annual
bonus, does not include benefits.
