- Hello, My name is Zulema Hernandez and I will be discussing the effects on child abuse and how it impacts an individuals life, the emotional effects and the long run psychological effects of child abuse. How in here has ever experience any form of child abuse? Who in here knows of someone who has experience child abuse? Who in here is against child abuse?
- Child abuse definition has to do with the physical or emotional or sexual mistreatment of children. The defendant, who was neither a parent nor a guardian of the twelve-year-old complainant in this case, argued that he was not her custodian so was not in a position of trust to her at the time of the alleged offense. The defendant and his wife visited the niece's home while her mother, the defendant's sister-in-law, was at work ( Bureau of National Affairs, Inc., 2010) . In many situations child sexual abuse occurs by a relative, neighbor, friend, and usually is by someone of the position of trust.
- How many in her believe that early intervention is very important to reduce the risk/effects of posttraumatic stress disorder? What are some ways in which you suggest that intervention should be utalize? For me intervention can be the most important conponent in helping the patient in the long run and minimize there trauma. Many times this population doesn’t speak up about there abuse because they are living in fear. So when they do it is important that the right professionals are on target and ready to help.
- So would you agree that it can be stigma? What are the thoughts of a male and female? Women who experience child abuse have issues in relationships and their emotions are affected. The findings indicate that women are much more fragile and weaker than men and, therefore, I think men could be exposed to pain, even if they don’t necessarily show it.
- At CAPA for every $100 spent on prevention education, $3,600 could be saved on treatment for one abused child. Help prevent child abuse.
- The programs will educate the community on child abuse. By developing family support services will help built love and compassion. Counseling, Family Support and Education Services are the three levels of prevention. This will prevent and treat all forms of child abuse by creating changes in individuals, families and society that strengthen relationships and promote healing.
