This document discusses water pollution and methods for purifying water. It presents research on a multi-step process for cleaning water that involves filtering, adding chemicals, boiling, and adding flavor if desired. An experiment is described that tested how quickly salt water and tap water boiled in metal and glass containers to determine the best material for boiling water. The results showed tap water boiled faster than salt water, and metal helped retain heat better than glass. The conclusion is that distilled water boils at 100°C while tap and salt water boil around 90°C.
