ABOUT THE BUILDING:
The building I have given
Architect
Anna
Keogh
is
for
the
site
at
Hannover,

by my
proposed
Germany.

3D WALL SECTION AT SCALE 1:20

The building is a proposed Town Hall for
the local area and I divide into three floors.
The exterior of the building is to be built using
Timber frame and brick. The timber of the exterior
is to be of solid timber depicting each storey height
and the grid of the building. The voids between the
timber frame is to be then filled using clay bricks, a
material that is very common in the local
area and throughout the city of Hannover.
The roof of the building is to be of a flat roof design
concealed from the view of the public using
parapet around the perimeter of the building.
The flat roof will be a green roof however it will
not be open for use for people in the building.

Stainless Steel Connection Bracket to connect
solid timber facing to primary structure

The building also contains three courtyards located
towards the centre of the building and will be open air.

Typical connection of Glu-Lam Beam and Column
using a concealed Steel Plate

The building up to the date of submission
has not changed drastically. Overall i feel
that i have kept to the architects original
design concept without any major alterations.
In terms of finishes, some finishes have yet to be
decided by the architect including the finished floor
finishes for both the ground floor and upper floors.
The pictures above show the concept model
produced by Anna Keogh.
