Samarit was founded twenty five years ago with
the aim to improve care and
make care easier for nurses and carers throughout
the hospital and in homecare.
Mission of the company is to help healthcare
providers in reducing the incidence and severity of
caregivers injuries related to patient handling and
movements tasks and, in the same time, to
increase independence, comfort, security and
dignity of patients.
The development of the Samarit Rollbord™ which
is a “no-lift Patient Transfer System”
was patented in 1988 and because the basis of
international distribution structure
which includes over eighty distributors in over
seventy countries. During the last years, Samarit
has developed subsidiaries in Canada, France,
Spain, Italy and Germany.
During the years Samarit has developed many
more intelligent nursing aids to supper care.
Important products are in development and will
become new milestones
in the international development of the Samarit
Group.
New products are always developed with doctors,
specialists, carers and engineers
in order to achieve the best relation in
price/performance.
Samarit MedItalia & Alberto Dan
• Alberto has been the first introducing in the Italian market small
  equipment for moving&handling patients. Working directly on the field
  with professional users in hospitals and nursing homes he has
  created a market niche that didn’t exist before.
• Since 1998 Samarit products have been successfully introduced in
  more than 600 institutions all over Italy including public hospitals,
  private clinics, nursing homes, rehabilitation centres, etc.
• Hundreds of professional users have been informed, trained and
  supported.
• His responsibilities include general management, sales & marketing,
  operations management, strategic planning, sales
  promotion, technical support to the sales network (local
  distributors/wholesalers), training to the customers, management of
  tenders and negotiations with public and private hospitals, budgeting
  and financial planning.

• Proven sales and marketing experience in healthcare/homecare
  markets
• Deep knowledge of NHS's acquisition procedures
