What were we supposed to
do….?
At least 20 Trade Transactions
and we did 23 transactions…
Aspects of the given task
 Physical endurance
 Emotional aspect
 Group mates
 Plan
 Interactions
 Time management
Physical Endurance
 None of us had breakfast
 Went to temple, took prasad
 No breaks
 Completed the whole task on foot
 Task was physically exhausting in last
45 minutes
 Temperature was high also exhausting us.
 Streets were little congested, hampering our
movement.
 No rests or break were taken
Emotional
 We were inquisitive, eager to know
what actually we were supposed to do
 Anxious of what others are doing
 Last 30 minutes, we were sluggish
 Physical exhaustation led to mental
fatigue
Communication
 No communication barrier because:
 People were very helpful and were interacting in
hindi
 Above all, everyone of us knew punjabi(main
regional language)
 We didn’t encountered rude communication as
people were very much open and eager to hear
us.
Plan
 First focus ------- ON HOMES
Near market places
In posh areas
 Second focus ------ SHOPS
Effect of BRAND (pcte ‘n’ mba)
 Visibly impressed
 Curious
 Enquiring
 Didn’t picked branded products.
 Money was the bounding factor to purchase
branded products.
 People were willing to buy, because products
were well within range
Time Management
 First,45 minutes were devoted to homes
 Next,30 minutes to convince shopkeepers and to
bought new product
 An hour , went again to homes to sell our products
 Last 45 minutes, purchased final goods
What if we were told earlier..
It would have affected our task in a negative way
 Pressure would have been the same
 Could have explored our links in phillaur
 We would not have been honest
How could we have done better
By generating more money rather
than going for second hand products
from homes
Interesting Instances
 Brought 4 bananas and an apple for just Rs. 5
 A women told us she is already been fooled by
some of our colleagues and she was repenting for
the same
 Everyone there was really co-operative and
helpful.
Time constraint
 Managing time was the most difficult task.
 Had made a plan to divide our time earlier only.
 Last 45 minutes were stressful.
 Had to rush through things
 But dividing time was helpful at that final moments.
Barriers in real life
 Feeling of losing.
 Insecurity.
 Planning to cope stress.
Personal experience
 It was a learning experience
 I learned to plans, implement it.
 How to interact with peoples and how to us brains.
 Helped in making good social contacts.
Response to situations
 Conflict: generally loose my anger.
 Despair: makes me more desperate to do things.
 Stress: try to evaluate situations and then take the
best way possible.
 Disappointment: failures are always meant to
learn.
Real life situations
 Response would have been same.
 Still would have made the same plan &
implemented it.
 We didn’t knew what task was ahead of us.
