The term web 1.0 refers to the first version of the web, sometimes
also known as the informational web. It consisted largely of
static webpages with little room for real interactivity. Thus, it
functioned much like a large reference book, or indeed a whole
library of reference books.

other documents, as well as graphics, audio, and video files.

large and small networks around the globe. The internet is one of
most powerful communications tool, it is characterized because
allows proper level of communication across networks and it does
not restrict the access of information to a particular location.

Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) is an
intercontinental and interdisciplinary journal which
leads the field in its dedication to all matters associated
with the use of computers in language learning (L1 and
L2), teaching and testing. It provides a forum to discuss
the discoveries in the field and to exchange experience
and information about existing techniques. The scope of
the journal is intentionally wide-ranging and embraces a
multitude of disciplines.
