The Center for Social Innovation (CIS) is a node that connects actors to generate innovative solutions to improve quality of life for those living in extreme poverty in Colombia. CIS works on participatory and open social innovation projects with over 2,700 families across 34 projects focused on housing, nutrition, and income/employment. CIS also engages in knowledge management, research with academia, social technologies, and influencing public policy to promote social innovation.

- 15. Research Through innovative methodologies we ensure the appropriate identification of challenges and the co-creation of the solutions with the community. We recognized that communities are an invaluable source of knowledge and agents of their own change.

Desing students work on innovative solutions to specific challenges, developing a participative process, and co-creating those solutions with the families.
