Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland, where English, Scottish, and Gaelic are official languages. Loch Ness is famous for being one of the main reasons tourists visit Scotland. Edinburgh Castle sits on volcanic rocks in the center of Edinburgh, and exploring it thoroughly takes about five hours given its large size. Dumfries Castle is one of few built in a triangular shape on an island in the middle of a lake within a nature reserve.
